CHAPTER 23

1 YEAR LATER

" I'm going to kill you will my bare hands Leo! Now shut up and hold my hands so I can break those off first, you asshole! " Shouting at Leo trying to push.

" But baby I need those. You can't do that. You're doing good. Come on baby you got this. " Leo said trying to encourage me and I looked giving him the death glare.

" Shut up! Your not pushing out a paranormal baby out now are you! AAAAAA! " Pushing again as hard as I can.

" Star a couple more pushes and he will be welcoming the new world. Now push harder!" Zed the doctor instructed.

" AAAAA! " Screaming loudly as I pushed harder. As June was patting my head down with a rag, smiling widely.

I have been in labor for hours. The contractions were strong. I've never felt anything like this before. I didn't want to ever do this again. It hurt like hell and they gave me zero pain meds for this. Begin stuck doing it all natural. Wanting my body to give up. It was to much for me to bare. I was exhausted.

" Okay Star, one more big long push and we will have this little guy out. Now one more time for me. One more and you will be as good as gold. Puuussshhh. " Zed the doctor said.

Looking up at Leo again, he gives me an encouraging look as I held his hand, squeezing as hard as I could. " Star, my child, one more time, one more time. " June said.

Taking a deep breathe, pushing as hard as I could. Then relief washes over my body as I feel the baby come out as it started to cry loudly. Letting my body go limp as a surge of excitement ran through my body as Torcha was on the surface trying to see our little one for the first time.

Leo bends down giving me a kiss on the forehead, as the doctor and nurses were cleaning up the little one, as it still cried.

" So, what is it Zed? What's the gender? " June asked knowing that we wanted it a surprise until this day.

" Well Grandma Luna June, you my dear have a grandson. Congratulations. We have a new born Alpha in the making! " Zed said with excitement, handing our son to me.

Looking down at the bundle of joy as he started to settle down as if he knew he was safe. " He's beautiful. He looks like a carbon copy of you son, Except the eyes. " June said looking at the baby making Leo blush from the comment.

" My love, what should we name him. Mother and I decided that you should name our first born. What do you think? " Leo asking me looking down at us.

Looking at the bundle of joy, I think I had the perfect name for him. Smiling widely. " Ace. Ace is his name. " Repeating the name that I chose while everyone grinned and nodded their heads in approval.

" Ace it is. It's a wonderful name Star. It's perfect. I love you. " Leo said placing another kiss on my head as Ace squeezing Leo's finger tightly.

" I think Ace has your strength too my dear? " Leo said making everyone laugh in the room.

7 YEARS LATER

" Come back here! That's mine! Get over here you little brat! " Hearing little footsteps running around the pack house.

"Wwwwoooooooo there, speedy. " Leo catching one of the children.

" What's going on kiddo, why are you running around in the pack house? You know better than that. " Asking Ace our oldest child and next in line to be Alpha.

" Lilly took my space board and won't give it back. I-I just want my board back. " Ace says with a pout.

" You better put that lip back in your mouth before a crowkin comes in and shits on it. " Star says, coming around the corner with a small child behind her legs and the space board in hand.

Ace's eyes light up seeing that the space board was safe away from his sister.

" She just wants to learn is all. There nothing wrong with learning something new. You don't have to be mad about it. It's okay my little warrior. " Star said.

" Lilly looks up to you, honey, embrace that she wants to do things with you that you're interested in, and you're not stuck in the house playing dollies with her. " Saying again.

Lilly comes out from behind Star's legs, peeking slowly.

"I'm ssoowwwwyyyyy Ape. Mmeeee ppwwaaayyy wit Ape's bard too? I earn too. Just like Ape. " Lilly said with a small tone in her voice. As tears welled up in her eyes.

" Lilly you're too little, you will get hurt. Then I will get in trouble. Space boards are for boys anyways, not girls. " Ace snaps at Lilly.

"Hey now, she might be little, but you were at one time too. When we first got you that board, you were not much older than Lilly is now. Also a space board is for everyone not just boys, little mister. Some of our greatest athletes are girls. Proving boys wrong that they can do it just as good sometimes even better. " Leo said with a soft tone.

" So, why don't you teach Lilly, so she doesn't get hurt? Maybe even show her a couple moves to bust out. That would be easy for her? " Leo suggested.

Ace looked back at his parents and Lilly thinking about what they said.

" You are like her superhero, honey. Embrace it. " Star says with encouragement. As Ace smiled in return.

Ace grabs Lilly's little hands. " Come on Lilly, if anyone is going to teach you, then it will be me and me alone. I will teach you and protect you so you don't get hurt. Come on lets go get the pads and helmets. " Ace says with determination in his voice.

" OOOOOOOOKKKKKKKAY Ape! You goat it. " Lilly smiles to the sky and back. Giggling while Ace takes her away to learn the hover board.

" Be careful and place nice. Supper is soon and Lola and the kids will be joining us later. " Leo said.

The children leave to go play in the back yard. Leo wraps his arms around Star's waist. Putting his nose where his mark is, making her shiver in pleasure. I don't think I will ever get tired of the scent. Even after all these years, she still drives me crazy like a schoolboy.

" Well, since the kids will be busy for a while. And Lola and the kids aren't here yet. " Leo wiggling his eyebrows.

" Can you keep up this time? Maybe even try for number 3? What do you think? " Star says with a grin on her face and a twinkle in her eyes. Just like lovesick teenagers, Leo chases Star around the pack house and up the stairs. 

Scooping her up bridal style from the stairs. You could hear the squealing and laughter in the packhouse. As you could feel the love in the air.

These last seven years have been trying for this world, after the Emptiness came and did the damage it did. In the end we all pulled through it and together. I couldn't be happier than I am right now. Alive, safe, a loving family that I have always longed and dreamed for. Now all we can do is rebuild for our future and our children's future. This is my story.
