Wilderness

I evaded my perilous abode,
Escape the motherland beyond measure.
Where I will find peace with effortless code,
Allied by wilderness and wondrous creatures.

I'm gonna take my time to reinvent,
All the missteps and delusions of a narrator.
Like poppies thriving on the pavement,
My heart was once a lighthouse guiding the navigators.

The pages of my life lived brittle and torn,
Since you wounded my outset in the morn.
I don't keep treasures and utterances,
And your presumptions and petty glances.

Stare at me like I'm the stars in the gloaming sky,
As I fled my fate and made my path.
Alone in the wilderness, all I do is try,
The obstacles chortled and ended me with a dot.

Now I become assertive day by day,
Designed by confidence in any circumstances.
I will make it to the Milky Way,
And back in the atmosphere of stances.

Head back to where I once belonged,
To the motherland, I have sworn.
Make cheerful stanzas in a song,
In the motherland where I was born.
