at first, the verified badge took me by surprise. but then the two million followers made me start to freak out a little.

the second i stepped into my apartment i had a notification that joshua had liked my photo that i uploaded this morning. then i got the notification that he had followed me.

i wasn't expecting to click on his account and find out he was famous.

for the past hour i have been in a rabbit hole down the man's instagram. all of his posts, videos, highlights. pretty much anything i could find. i might sound a little crazy, but i think it was just the shock of the fact that i spent my night with this guy.

the second i reach the bottom of his instagram, i run into my bedroom and grab my laptop. i click on the girls numbers and start a group facetime, hoping that at least one of them pick up.

after the first ring, riley and lexi's face pop up on my screen.

" where's imogen? " i ask, going on my phone and once again pulling joshua's instagram up.

" she's at home, what's up? " riley asked, placing her phone on the side as she began to ate her lunch.

" look at the instagram account i am sending you guys. " i told them, sending joshua's page over and watching as the two loaded it up. their eyes widened as they began to scroll down his page. nothing was said for a few minutes, just the sound of their nails hitting the phone as they looked.

" you hooked up with a celebrity. " lexi said and began to laugh. i groaned and began to overthink everything i had said to the man last night and this morning.

" he probably thinks i'm such a weirdo! " riley was still looking through his instagram, clicking on a video and turning up the volume. joshua's voice began to play. he can sing. that explains the pianos and guitars.

" he's good. did he not tell you what he did for work last night? " riley asked once the video had stopped.

" he told me he was an actor and a musician. " i shrugged my shoulder, brushing my hair out of my face.

" i just wasn't expecting a three season show on disney plus and quite a few songs out. " it was the truth. in new york there's many people that say they're actors or musicians and unfortunately for them, they just hadn't made it yet. however for joshua, it seemed to be the opposite.

" oh my gosh! " i exclaimed, covering my hand with my mouth as i sat wide eyed, embarrassment flooding my body.

" he told me he has interviews today. i told him good luck and he would get the job. " if i could sink into the floor and not get back up right now, i would.

" no wonder he looked like he was going to laugh! he meant an interview for a fucking magazine. " riley and lexi began to laugh whilst i sat in horror at my stupidity.

" joshua probably likes the idea that you didn't know who he was. " lexi suggested, clearly trying to make me feel better.

" yeah, you must of been a breath of fresh air for him. " riley added. after looking at his comments it did seem as though he had a lot of fans, maybe they were right.

" stop overthinking everything! how was your night? " i tried my best to not overthink anything embarrassing i may have said as i told the two girls about joshua. he had followed me on instagram the second i stepped into my apartment, that must be a good thing.

i spent the rest of the evening convincing myself to not watch joshua's disney show. it would only freak me out more that the guy i was with last night was staring at me from my tv screen. once riley had done a little more digging, it had turned out matt was also on the show with joshua. that made lexi binge watch all of season one and send me multiple texts about how good the two were.

instead i decided to catch up on any college work i was behind on. the only time i stopped was when my phone started ringing.

" hey, mom. " i said, quickly finishing the sentence i was on before putting my laptop screen down.

" hi, honey. how are you? " her voice was sweet which instantly told me she wanted something. my parents and brother both live in california and ever since i moved to new york i hadn't heard much from any of them. let's just say the idea of the move didn't go well in their plans for me.

" i just called to remind you of your brothers wedding next month, " she told me and i mentally groaned. my brother and i used to be really close until he met his fiancé. she was the type of person to be weird about any female in his life apart from his mother. whenever my brother and i would do anything, she would just create problems for him. i guess one day he had just had enough, and the only time i saw him was at holidays.

" you will need to bring someone so that the numbers are even. "

" that's fine. i was going to bring one of the girls— " a scoff from my phone cut me off and i automatically rolled my eyes.

" no. you will need to bring a date. " her voice was thick with annoyance. i bit my tongue, trying to not make myself anymore problems.

" that's fine. i have to go, i'm working. " i told her in a happy voice. we said our goodbyes and instantly hung up the phone. the quietness of the house was deafening so i finally decided to call it a night.

i showered before getting into bed and setting my alarm for work in the morning. my eye caught the instagram logo and after a few seconds of debate, i found myself back onto joshua's page. the 'message' button was screaming at me.

my finger moved before i could even comprehend and i was starring at a blank message. i hadn't received anything from him all day. maybe i should be the one to start it? no. i didn't want to look desperate.

i sighed, going off of the app and placing my phone on charge. it was a one time thing, i was probably never going to see joshua again so i shouldn't stress about it.
