the boys got along with us all great, there was not a second that wasn't filled with conversation. well, apart from when imogen and lexi were kissing which we all tried to ignore. the three other boys were called matt, caster and joshua, all three of them recently moving to new york. i kept making eye contact with riley, both of us buzzing about the boys that we were sat with.

" so aphrodite, " joshua started, turning his head to look at me. his eyes captivated me instantly and i wanted to melt back into the seat at how his name rolled off of his tongue.

" where are you from? " he placed his arm over the top of the booth as he asked and i tried everything i could to not lean back into it.

" california. " i said, taking a sip of my vodka and lemonade. the effects of vodka on ice was starting to take its toll, so the smartest thing to do was add lemonade.

" really? me too. " joshua said, tilting his head to the side as he stared at me intensely. it was clear both of us were buzzing off of the alcohol we had consumed.

" oceanside. you? " joshua's eyebrows raised at my words and shook his head slightly.

" oceanside. " his words shocked me. both of us being from oceanside and moving to new york, what we're the odds.

" you're kidding? i've never met anyone from oceanside that lives in new york. " i told him, turning my body so i was facing him fully.

" well, maybe it was fate. " joshua smiled as he said it and i couldn't help the heat that rushed to my cheeks. i hope my foundation hadn't melted off.

" it must be your lucky day. " i flipped my hair back over my shoulder. when i had been talking to him all night it was so easy. i've yet to panic and say something stupid, so that must be a good sign.

" come on! it's the last song! " matt said to me and joshua, following the others to the dance floor. it was crazy how quickly everyone had clicked, even not in a romantic way. i could see caster, vince, matt and i becoming great friends.

" do you want to dance with me? " joshua asked, his hand that was behind me reaching down and playing with the ends of my hair. how could i possibly say no to this guy? all he needs to do is smile at me and i'm on my knees.

" i thought you'd never ask, joshua. " he smiled at my words and stood up, offering his hand out to me which i gladly took. my stomach did a flip when he intertwined our hands and lead me to the dance floor. joshua lead us where the others were but we made sure to keep a little bit of distance.

he pulled me in, pulling his hand out of mine and placing them on my hips. we both moved to the music and i felt like i was on an episode of euphoria, we both laughed, spinning each other around.

joshua span me around but at the last second i tripped on my heel and fell into him. my hand landed on his chest whilst his made his way to my shoulders to steady me.

" sorry. " i said, laughing a little and looking up at him through my lashes. he was quite a lot taller then me, even in glasses. he looked down at me and licked his bottom lip.

" stop looking at me like that. " he leant down and whispered in my ear. my whole body shivered, even though the club was boiling. joshua pulled his head back and moved his hand to my cheek, placing his thumb onto my lip.

" you're making me want to kiss you even more. " his voice warmed me to the bone, his hand moving from my cheek and to my lower back. am i alive? surely i'm dreaming. the guy that looks like he just jumped out of a hollywood movie wants to kiss me.

" i wouldn't stop you. " the confirmation was all he needed to smash his lips onto mine. i wasn't a huge fan of PDA, but for the guy infront of me i can make an exception.

our lips moved in perfect sync, one of joshs hands wrapping lightly around the front of my neck as i used my hands to pull him as close as i could get him. we didn't come back up for air, the need for each other overcoming the need for oxygen.

the lights in the club switched on and much to my dismay, joshua finally pulled back. the main lights being on made me realise just how beautiful the man infront of me was. he look as though he had jumped from out of my tv and landed infront of me. people began to leave the club and i frowned, the last thing i wanted to do was go and by the look in joshua's eyes, he felt the same.

" do you want to— " he began to ask and i quickly cut him off.

" yes. " i said quickly, but mentally cringed at how desperate i must sound right now. the smile that grew on joshua's face reassured me, along with the twinkle in his eyes.

" you ready to go? " riley asked, pulling her phone out of her pocket to book the uber. josh gave me a small smile before walking over to caster and allowing me to tell riley i was going back home with him.

" well. " i said, subtly nodding my head in joshs direction. riley's jaw dropped to the floor and clapped her hands, letting out a small squeal.

" okay, just a few rules. wrap it before you tap it, check for std's and— " i quickly cut her off by groaning and placing my hands over my ears.

" gross, we're in public. " i complained. riley laughed, pulling my hands away from my ears.

" you wasn't bothered about that when you and josh were swallowing eachothers faces of— "

" la la la la. " i began to say. the last thing i needed to think about was people watching joshua and i whilst we kissed, the idea creeped me out.

" you ready to go? " joshua asked as he came back over, placing his hand on the small of my back. once again, i melted into it. we all said our goodbyes, agreeing that we would all meet up again soon. vincent asked for imogen's number so they could arrange it but everyone knew it was for something else.

joshua led me outside once our uber had arrived, i tried to give him some cash but he refused. a true gentleman. he opened the door for me and i climbed in, joshua doing the same.

" uber for bassett? " the driver asked and joshua confirmed it was him. bassett. i need to remember that for tomorrow.

the car ride was quick, josh resting his hand on my thigh the entire ride. i couldn't believe that i had actually gone home with a guy i had known for just a few hours. he could be a killer for all i know but for some reason i felt safe. maybe it was the way he smiled? i have no idea, but whatever charm this man had it worked.

as i got out of the uber and walked up the stairs to joshua's house, i couldn't believe he lived here. the house was huge and clearly costed a lot of money. from what he had told me earlier in the night, he was only twenty two. it made my one bedroom apartment look pathetic. i really need to ask what work he does and how to get into it.

i watched joshua's hand push the door open, letting me step inside first. the warmth instantly hit me. he leaned over and switched the light on. i didn't get anytime to look at my surrounding before his lips were on my neck.

i let out a quiet sigh and shut my eyes. his lips were soft and his breath made the hairs on my neck stand up. maybe this was a dream because it was going perfectly. joshua walked infront of me and grabbed my hand, leading me up the staircase. each step i took my heart beat increased. if this was a dream, i really hope i don't wake up anytime soon.
