" i think you're playing a dangerous game. " riley told me as she put her nachos into the oven. it had been two weeks since joshua and i spoke about our agreement, and since then we have been meeting up nearly everyday. it was going good so far, we would hook up, cook dinner together, talk and then go home.

" it's not. " i brushed off her comment as i finished applying my lipgloss. lexi, riley and imogen all have a disapproving look through my phone screen which made me roll my eyes. i hadn't told them about it at first, just mentioning that joshua and i had been meeting up. i didn't specifically say about what we had agreed to.

" there's no way you won't catch feelings. " lexi added and i scoffed. two weeks in and so far it was all going according to plan. i added the rule of not staying around each others houses since then it would feel like we were in a relationship.

" hey! he could be the one to catch feelings, not me. " i suggested but the girls knew that i was bluffing.

" if i ever feel like i'm going to, i'll just cut it off. " that was a lie, and once again the girls could tell. but i wont need to worry about that, because this is all going to be smooth sailing. the past two weeks i hadn't thought about atlas once, instead josh had replaced him. only because i was with him pretty much all the time. at least that's what i told myself.

" i gotta go, joshua just text me that he's here. " i said, picking up the phone and looking at myself one last time in the camera.

" where are you going? "

" just for dinner. " i shrugged, making my way to my apartment door, locking it once i was out.

" so, a date? " imogen said and i quickly shook my head.

" no! we were both speaking yesterday about how we hadn't eaten out for ages. so joshua suggested we go. " i said it as if it was completely normal.

" that's a date! " riley exclaimed. i pushed the front door to the apartment building open and saw joshua's car right outside.

" gotta go! love you bye! " i said quickly, blowing them a kiss before hanging up the phone. the last thing i needed was for joshua to hear what they were saying.

" hey! " i smiled, climbing into the passenger seat of joshua's car. everytime i see him i still get amazed by how beautiful he is. it's like each time he just gets better.

" there she is, you look amazing. " he complimented and i thanked him, telling him he looked great too.

" so where are we going? " i asked. joshua waited until i had my seatbelt on before he started driving, his hand reaching over and resting on my thigh.

" it's a surprise. " his eyes flickered between the road and me, a smile on his face the entire time.

" i love this song. " we both said at the same time making us laugh. i reached my hand over to the volume button just as josh did, his hand resting on mine as i turned it up.
