Wow, indeed.
It happened. You have been thinking about kissing him since the first night at the lake... or maybe even longer to be honest. And now it really happened. And it was amazing. Your heart is beating out of your chest, as he still looks intensely into your eyes.
Suddenly his lips curl up. "Fiona, you're shaking."
Are you? You didn't even notice. After saying those words, he pulls you into a tight embrace.
You relax in his arms and enjoy the warmth of his body. "You must be freezing," he mumbles into your ear.
"I am. But I'd say, it's worth it," you whisper.
He chuckles as a response. "I'm glad you think so. Agreed. But still, I don't want you to get sick. Let's go back, what do you say?"
Already? Disappointment rises up in you. It feels like you just got here. And you just started... you know.
"Sure," you try your best to sound unbothered. He tilts his head at you and cups your face with his hands.
"Can I see tomorrow night, though? Midnight, at the Ravenclaw tower?"
You smile. "It's a date."
He beams at you. "Brilliant."

You sneak into your dorm room and try to be as quiet as possible, since it's already past curfew. As you change out of your dress and into your pajamas, you hear a rustling in one of the beds and then a whisper: "Fiona?"
This almost gives you a heart attack. You turn around and see Jane's silhouette, sitting up in her bed.
"Merlin, Jane. You scared me," you whisper back.
"Sorry. I couldn't sleep. Are you tired or do you want to go talk downstairs?"
You're as far from tired as someone could possibly be. In fact, you're still extremely giddy and glad that Jane is still awake. You need to tell her about what just happened or you think you're going to burst. "Talk, 100 percent." So you and Jane climb down the stairs to the empty common room so you can converse without being overheard.
You sit down on the couch cross-legged, to face each other. You grab Jane's hand and take a deep breath before you start speaking in a low voice. "Jane. I need you to be calm and not wake the whole house, okay?"
Your friend just nods with wide eyes.
"We kissed." The redhead's hand flies to her mouth. She lets out a muffled sound, obviously trying to stop herself from screaming. You can't help but chuckle. Then she just stares at you. "Yes! Finally! How was it? Tell me everything."
You think for a second and sigh. "It was amazing. Not comparable to any kiss I had before..."
"Well, duh. You only kissed Josiah so far and he always made those fish lips, right?" Jane imitates the face your "ex" used to make, which makes you giggle hysterically. "Stop it. You're making me laugh, we have to be quiet," you say, wiping tears from your eyes.
Jane grins at you. "Okay, okay. I need to know more. Give me details, Fi."
"Alright. I mean what can I say... it was gentle. At first at least. Then it got a little more intense."
"Tongue?" she says, a mischievous smirk on her lips.
"No. I'm kind of glad about that, though. Josiah always jammed his down my throat." You shudder at the memory.
Jane sighs with bliss. "So no notes whatsoever?"
"Only that it ended too soon," you say with a soft smile.
