The rest of the day you're in an exceptionally good mood. Julie even points out, as you're all gathered in the Ravenclaw common room after supper: "Glad to see you so giddy, Fiona. It's been a while." You smile at her.

Daisy chuckles. "Yeah, I personally suspect she's in love. What else would all the whispering between you and Jane have been about, lately?"

Your cheeks burn up. Nolan looks at you, a little bit shocked. Jane smiles knowingly. You have already pulled her aside earlier and told her all about what happened in the library.

"Yeah, right Daisy. Not everybody's as boy crazy as you," Jane comes to your defense. The other girl sticks out her tongue as a response.

Nolan still keeps eyeing you, while you try to act as unbothered by the accusation as possible.

"I'm not, not that it's any of your businesses."

Leontine frowns. "I would hope you would tell us if you had a boyfriend." She looks around the group. "That goes for all of you, by the way. So I can live vicariously through you." She sighs and you can't help but smile. Leontine is such a hopeless romantic. You have seen her reading romance novels in the dorm once in a while.

"You're going to find someone soon enough, Leo," Julie reassures the blonde girl.

You notice that Dante looks deeply lost in thought. "Are you okay, Dante?" Your voice catches him off guard, and he jolts. "Yeah, absolutely." He smiles at you faintly but he doesn't sound very convincing. You decide you will ask him about it again in a private moment but drop the subject for now. The rest of the evening is pleasant, you sit around the fireplace joking and laughing. Little by little, all of your friends excuse themselves and go to bed. Jane hugs you before going up to the dorm and whispers in your ear: "Have fun."

Soon enough, you find yourself sitting alone with Nolan. You look at your pocket watch. It's 11:45 already. As much as you like spending time with your friend, you hope he will make his way up to the boys' bedroom soon, too. There's not much time left until you're going to meet Tom. You let out an obvious yawn. Nolan shifts nervously around on his armchair, looking at his hands.

"Fiona, before we go to bed, can I ask you a question?"

You're a little taken aback but agree. "Sure, anything."

He takes a few seconds and still fidgets around. "Were you telling the truth earlier? Is there really no one you have a crush on, at the moment?"

Why does he care so much? You don't really know what to say. Obviously, there is. But you can't tell Nolan about this, it's just not possible.

You hesitate. "No, there really isn't. Why? Do you like someone?" Maybe that's what this is about, it dawns on you. He has a crush on someone and wants to confide in you.

Again, you take a look at your watch. Nolan observes you carefully while you do so and sighs. "I can see you want to go to bed. Let's postpone this conversation. Good night, Fiona." He shoots a smile but you sense a certain sadness in it, you don't quite understand.

"I'm sorry. Yes, please, let's talk about this tomorrow, okay? Have a good night!"
Without another word Nolan gets up and takes the stairs to his dormitory.

Suddenly you start to get anxious. It's almost time. You decide to take another look in the floor-length mirror that stands in one of the corners of the room. You still look a little tired but you figure, there's nothing you can really do to change that. You're also still in the clothes you were wearing during the day, since on the weekends your not obligated to be in your school uniforms. It's a simple dark blue dress with some tights underneath. Good enough, you think. You brush through your hair a little with your fingers and as you look at your watch once again, you realize it's time. Midnight. Tom.
