The Fiery Princess

<[Her past 5: All alone]>

On their courtyard, the sisters were laughing as they played tag together.

As Kaya had finally caught Nya, they both began to laugh until Kaya noticed that it was already sunset.

That made her curious, usually their parents would never let them out so long.

She then turned her head towards their home to see that their parents weren't outside watching them anymore.

That's strange..
Maybe they had called them but they just didn't hear ?

"Sissy are you okay ?" Nya asked after seeing the face her big sister was making.

Kaya turned to her and smiled patting her head.
"Yeah, I'm fine. Why don't we go back home ? It's getting late." She then suggested and Nya nodded smiling widely.

"Okay !"
The little girl took Kaya's hand and dragged her towards the shop.

"Mommy ! Daddy ! We're back !" Nya screamed but saw all the lights were turned off and no one was responding.

"Mom ? Dad ?" Kaya then screamed but still no response.

Kaya and Nya then stared at each other.

"Maybe they are in the living room ?" Kaya said before she let go off her sister's hand and went to turn the light on.

After taking their shoes off, they both went in the living room.

But there was no one here either.
"Mom ? Dad ?" Kaya screamed once again getting no response one more time.

"Let's go check upstairs." Kaya suggested and Nya nodded.

They both went upstairs before going towards their parents room.

Kaya slowly opened the door which began to squeak as it was being pushed.

Once the door fully opened, the two sisters walked silently in the dark room.

No one here either.

Kaya began to worry, where could they be ?

She then felt something pull on her red shirt and turned around to see Nya was the one pulling her.

"Sissy ? Where are mommy and daddy ? I'm scared.." Kaya stared at her.

She didn't want Nya to be scared, she had to do something..

Then, she got an idea and knelt in front of her.

"Hey, why don't we go eat now ? You should be hungry after playing so long outside." Kaya said smiling, trying to comfort Nya who then slowly nodded.

Kaya took Nya's hand and they both went back downstairs before heading to the kitchen.

There, Kaya spotted a big pot on the stove.

"Wait a second alright Nya ?" Kaya asked and the little girl nodded. She then went to get a chair and put it right in front of the stove.

She climbed it and saw inside the pot some spaghetti. It must be the dinner they were supposed to eat.

"Can you bring me our plates please ? I think they are on the table." The little girl nodded and went to get them.

Once she came back with them, Kaya thanked her as she put them next to the big pot.
"Now if you want to eat, you have to go wash your hands okay ?" Kaya said what Maya told them most of the time before eating.

"Okay Sissy !" The little girl said smiling before rushing out of the kitchen and going to the bathroom upstairs.

Kaya then took the big spoon inside the pot and began to put the spaghetti in Nya's and her plates.
