I stood beside Wanda as Team Iron man was lined up opposite to us. There was a brief conversation between Steve and Tony. The atmosphere was tense. So tense you could cut the air with a knife.
"Steve, does this have to end like this?" I asked him.
He turned around and replied, "You accepted your fate of being a fugitive when you refused to sign the Accords."
"Yes, because the Government are trying to dictate us and our freedom!"
"You knew to expect some sort of fight from Tony's side."
I scoffed as Steve turned back around.
"I never expected to have to fight my own friends though," I muttered.
Wanda held my hand gently. I turned my head to look at her.
"I know it's hard," she said.
I knew she didn't want to fight Vision the most. I hated the idea of fighting anyone on Tony's team. Maybe the only exception was Spider-boy, since I'd never even met him.
"Come on," the witch muttered as the boys in front of us started to move forward.
Me and Wanda followed, until both of our teams were racing towards each other, into battle. All my previous concerns disappeared as fire rose in me. My eyes locked onto T'Challa, who was aiming for Clint. I pushed the archer out of the way before T'Challa could attack. I skidded on my feet, reaching for my batons. T'Challa turned to me.
"Don't make me hurt you," he warned. "Because I will if I have to."
I smirked.
"Vibranium claws would cut straight through me," I replied. "They could easily kill someone without a metal suit."
I knew T'Challa wouldn't actually kill me. We knew each other too well. I ran towards him, kicking his stomach. He leapt over me, bringing his arm down to where I was. I jumped out of the way, bringing a leg over his back and doing it exactly how Natasha would. I kept my legs around T'Challa's neck as my upper body hung upside down. I jabbed my baton in his back, causing him to grunt in pain. The next thing I knew, he had thrown me into the side of a lorry. I hit the ground on my arm, but I stood up. I picked up the baton closest to me. The other was too far away for me to grab.
"Looks like I'll have to fight with one," I chuckled as T'Challa came for me again.
He ran towards me. I stood and waited until he was inches away, before slipping to the side, grabbing his arm and pulling hard. I used the baton to help me grab his other arm. Both of T'Challa's arms were pinned behind his back and I kicked the back of his knees so he fell down. I kept a knee on his back as I bent his arm more and more painfully.
"Miss Y/L/N, let go of me," he ordered me.
"Shame," I replied with a confident smirk. "I can't do that until you give up and agree to go home."
I wasn't ever going to hurt him too bad, but the man refused to give up. He somehow managed to grab my arm and throw me off him onto the ground, throwing my baton away. I jerked my lower body upwards, hitting T'Challa's neck with my heavy boot. He stumbled backwards, giving me time to stand up. Weaponless, I felt a lot more vulnerable. As T'Challa attacked again, dragging one of his claws down my arm, he was thrown aside by red magic. Wanda was stood not far off. I nodded to her and she nodded back, running off. I ran around to the other side of the lorry and leant against it. I pulled out the bandage I kept in the pocket of my suit and wrapped it tightly around my bleeding arm. I tried to take a minute to get my breath back, but I was dragged to the floor from the side of my bleeding arm.
