Richard and I stand there. Komi and Jason are sitting still on the couch. We are waiting to see who would make the first move. I finally break the silence, I turn around and head up to my room. It's none of my business on what is going on between Komi and Jason.
"Well, I am going to head to bed. Good night everyone." I announce as I leave the living room. As I made my way to the entryway, I get my backpack, leaving my gym bag behind. I feel a rush behind me. It is Richard catching up to me.
"Kori?" His voice stops me. I turn to face him.
"Yes?"
"Have a good night. I will see you tomorrow." Richard stuffs his hands deep in his pockets.
I smile back at him. I think he feels odd what he just witnessed too, "You too Richard." I open the front door for him, and he walks out. I watch him as he gets in his car and leaves. I shut the door behind me and head upstairs. I hear Komi and Jason whisper in the living room. I can't hear exactly what they are saying to each other, but yet again it's none of my business.
I get to my bedroom door and open it. I shut it tightly behind me. Then the thoughts start racing in my head. Is Komi and Jason dating? If so how long? How did they meet? Does she know that he is related to Richard? Does Jason know that I am related to Komi? Does he know where we are really from? Or did she tell him the story that our parents trained us to tell? I start panicking thinking of what she would have said to him. Komi is good at keeping secrets, but yet she isn't afraid to share. I drop off my backpack and hop into the shower, thinking it would calm me down.
It does. I didn't realize that I was in the shower for almost an hour. I stood there trying to collect my thoughts. Not only did my mind wander around Komi and Jason, but it threw Richard in the mix as well. Where is our relationship heading? I came up with the answer that time can only tell.
I get dress, and climb into my bed. I hear Komi come up the stairs. Jason must have gone home. I hear her footsteps approach my door. I drop my face into my pillow, and act like I am asleep. She pushes open my door, and I can feel her look at me. After a moment, I hear the door click close. Shortly after the door closes, I feel my body go into a deep sleep.

"Kori! Kori! Richard is here!" I hear my mom screaming from downstairs. I roll over so I am deeper in my bed. I don't want to get up yet. I hear a series of footsteps coming up towards my door, "You can sit in there and wait if you would like Richard."I hear the door open quietly, and footsteps going over towards my desk. I hear, what I am assuming is Richard, pulling out my desk chair to sit. I roll over to face him, opening my eyes slightly.
"Good morning Star." He whispers.
I let a sleepy smile cross my face. The sun is trying to come through the tree tops, "Greetings. What time is it?"
"It is 10:30. I figured that you would be up already. I can come back and..." Richard is setting himself to get out.
"No no. It's fine. I will get up here." I pull the covers off of myself. I see Richard's face turn red. I look down to see that I put on his jacket that he gave to me a while ago, "oh dear X'Hal."
"What does that mean? I hear you say it a lot." Richard questions me, he is no longer worried about the jacket.
"My parents didn't like Komi and I cursing, so Komi and I came up with the word X'Hal." I lied. I am sitting on the edge of the bed. I put my hands on either side of me to help me push myself off.
"Oh, that's cool." Richard says, "so your sister and you are close?"
"I would say so. When we were little we would fight, but who didn't?" I laugh.
