The sun peeks out in between the curtains. It must be a little before noon, guessing where the sun is placed in the sky. I stretch out my legs and turn to face Richard. He is still in a deep sleep. Thinking back at last nights bed adventures, I am surprised that I am awake. I watch as his chest rises and falls with each breath he takes. I notice that his eye lids would twitch. He must be dreaming. I move my body closer to him and snuggle up against his. I can hear his strong heartbeat when I lay my head down on his chest.
A few hours goes by, and I can feel Richard rising through his slumber. He stretches his arms out above his head and groans, causing me to remove myself off of him.
"Good morning." Richard yawns.
I chuckle, "You mean good afternoon."
That causes Richard to fully sit up. I prop myself up on an elbow and watch Richard. He turns to look down at me, and I grin. Richard grins back, but there is something off with his. I let out a yelp as he pulls my body on top of his so my legs are on either side of his hips. I naturally place the my palms on his chest, leaning slightly over him.
"Good afternoon, Kori." Richard whispers. I chuckle and lean down and kiss him. He accepts my kiss and wraps his arms around my hips, pulling me closer to his body. Richard flips us over, so he is now on top of me. Our mouths disconnect and Richard moves his lips down towards my neck. Flashbacks of last night's events go through my head. The sighs, groans, exploring. I catch my breath.
"Richard." I let out in between breaths.
Richard is now kissing my stomach, "Yes?"
"Richard, we need to figure out what we need to do." I tilt my head up, causing Richard to also tilt his head.
He puts his hands over my stomach and rests his head on top, "Okay. What are you thinking?"
I again prop my elbows up so I can see his properly. His blue eyes are twinkling from the sunlight.
"Well, I should probably get ready to head to Tameran, and you should figure out how to get us home while I am gone." I say simply.
Richard rests his head on my bare stomach. He sighs deeply. I can tell that he is thinking through our conversation from last night. I let him think. I relax back into my pillows.
"Kori?" I hear Richard's voice come through. I can feel him shuffle his body off of me. I look and see that he is now sitting at the end of the bed.
I sit up, "Yes?"
"I can't stop thinking about that first day I met you. Well I guess the second time I met you. You had that locket. I remember asking you about it before Babs sent it out for testing." I can feel my heart skip as he retraces our steps during that moment, "Well, what was in that locket?"
I shimmy myself to the edge to sit next to him. I take a deep breath, "Well, you took me to the gala like we witnessed. I don't know how, but before I left Earth you had Alfred bring it on the rooftop of Wayne Enterprise..."
"So that is why he was there." Richard cuts me off. I nod.
"Well inside it was a picture of us from the gala," I stop myself, "with the word promise."
I look at him with tears in my eyes. Richard looks down at me, "whats wrong?"
"Well, before I left the gala, I made a promise with you. Do you remember that promise?" I ask him, blinking the tears away. Richard shakes his head, "The promise we made was that I would come back to Earth. Well I kept my promise." I shrug, feeling a tear coming down.
"Oh Kori." Richard hugs me, I let him hold me. He keeps hold of me for what feels like forever. I wish that we can stop time and just stay like this. I soon feel Richard push me away. I give him a weak smile.
