Days went by. Richard and I stay low and think of way to borrow the clock from the museum. Richard likes to use the word borrow in this case. Richard tells me that the museum would be busy with people walking in and out to get ready for the gala, so going in now would be risking us getting caught, which is something neither of us want.

Richard left me to go to the library to do some research about the clock. I wash my clothes again in the sink as the news is playing in the background. I took the time to wash my under garments since Richard isn't here. I stop mid wash when I hear a name come through the TV that I haven't heard in years.

"This just in. The Arkham Asylum is on lock down. From my reports the Joker is on the loose."

My hands stop and I listen. I can't help my feet as they move me to the front of the screen.

"Here is what Commissioner Gordon has to say."

"People of Gotham. Please be aware of your surroundings. We are working with the Gotham police and the police at Arkham Asylum so we can bring Joker back to where he belongs."

"Commissioner, by my understanding the Joker has been locked in the asylum for seven years. How do you think he got out?"

"Excellent question, I believe that he got some outside help. Who that is, we don't know yet. But we are asking the people of Gotham that if you hear or know anything, please call."

"Thank you Commissioner."

I hear the door knob jiggle and I rush back in the bathroom, slamming the door.

"Kori! I'm back." I hear Richard's voice. I hang my clothes up and wrap myself in a towel and exit.

Richard is sitting on the desk chair with his back away from me. I can see his notes is scrabbled around the desk top. I look over his shoulder to see what he is seeing. There are pictures of the clock, newspapers clipping about the clock and much more.

"According to my research the clock is one of the first pieces that came into the museum. It was donated by the owner's daughter. Apparently this clock was passed down from multiple generations." Richard finally turns to see me, "did you take a shower?"

I look down and shake my head no. I point back asking him to continue.

"So, there is a story from the granddaughter of the owner, which by the way there are no names. But the granddaughter said that she used this clock to time travel. How did she do it? I can't find that. But she apparently when forward in time and saw Commissioner Gordon get inducted." Richard stops and leans back in the chair. I sit on the edge of the bed, readjusting my towel. Richard crosses his arms and looks at me as if he is waiting for me to say something. I don't say anything, instead the TV reporter comes back.

"If you missed my last report. We got word that the Joker is out of Arkham Asylum. The City of Gotham is asking its citizens to be aware of their surrounds. There will be no lockdown as if yet."

Richard turns his chair completely around to see what he is listening is true.

"I remember that. Do you?" Richard changes the topic.

I nod my head.

"The Wayne Knight High School's homecoming game is still schedule for tonight, and their homecoming dance is still scheduled for tomorrow night."

Richard looks at me, and I look back, "should we go tonight?"

I nod my head and get up to change. I can feel Richard's eyes lingering on my body as I leave.

Richard calls for the taxi to pick us up. We meet the driver and Richard tells him that we are heading to the football game. The driver takes us to our old stomping grounds and we walk to the side of the high school. I grab Richard and I fly us up to our seats. We sit and we watch as the teams are warming up.
