War has existed in many shapes and sizes. It could be from the smallest of things like the turf war battles we squids and octos like to have fun in to the largest, more devastating kinds like what happened a century ago between my species and the Inkling race. I, myself, was a soldier for the Octarians many years ago when I was just a young and impressionable child. To describe my experiences, it was hard and fanatical. I was taught to not make friends with the enemy and hate them, no matter if they were good or not.
But, oh boy, I'm glad that I left that life behind thanks to those magical medleys I had listened to during a battle between my soon-to-be friend Inkling Girl and my former overlord Octavio. Yes, that Octavio, the one you hear in history as the leader of the Octarian army. It's quite impressive how much advantage and strength evolution has given us throughout history. Once the battle had finished, concluding with the victory of the Inkling girl, I walked out of my underground life and, for the first time ever, took a breath that would have started my new life as a defector of the Octarian Army. I once saw the silhouette of the city of color itself as I was on all fours crawling out to victory, like it was calling out to me to come right on in. I was so close to freedom; all I needed to do was walk up to it, but unfortunately, it was taken away from me right away. I have to learn it the hard way—you have to fight through the depths of the ocean to earn it.
I walk to my path to the new world, but then I suddenly feel into a pitch black hole that is under my right foot, and, without explanation, I become unconscious. In an unknown period of time, a voice was calling out to me to wake up. I opened my eyes, and the source of it was an old man wearing a cyan jumpsuit. He explained to me that he himself fell down and is now stranded here with me, and he suggested that we together partner up to find our way out of here. Silently, I accepted his generous request for freedom, as I was eager to get out of here and find freedom. As I got up, I found myself no longer wearing the octarian uniform I once wore. Instead, what took its place was a set of latex black skirt and a half-top shirt, with one of my arms having skinny sleeves. I was confused by it at first, but when I looked down, I was happy to realize that I have a new pair of black boots that resemble my former boots. Those were my favorite pairs, and I even wear them to this day.
Once I had finished appreciating my own boots, I began wondering around the crepit-dark facility that would be known as Deep Sea Metro. Sooner or later, I would meet an AI that tasked me with completing objectives to construct a blender that would supposedly grant me my path to freedom. It's plans would be foiled as we figured it out once I was recused by my soon-to-be lover. We had an intense battle between each other as he was hypnotized by the AI bot, and long story short, we had a final battle against the murderous omnicidal AI that had foolishly lied to me for my freedom. You may have heard about it on the news some time ago.
Once the fight concluded, my new life started as I watched the old world fly away from me—my life has been perfect ever since then. I had friends who helped me affirm my new life and even offered me shelter to stay. Now I reside with the inkling girl who once battled my master all those years ago. But the gleeful thing that ever happened was especially myself falling in love with the Inkling, who had saved me from certain doom. It is everything I could ask for the moment I began hearing about the outside world years ago, but just as anything else in life, nothing lasts forever...
You see, as my intense adventures of survival unravel, somewhere in the not-so-far reaches of space, mysterious intelligent beings watch our planet with the desire of colonization in their envious eyes and slowly and surely draw their despicable plans against us. The planet Mars, of which I may have to remind you, is a neighboring planet located millions of miles away from our home planet. It used to be just like ours, but over the millions of years, life within it began to die out. It was a painful process for the inhabitants, who would be referred to as Martians in my story, as it led to them taking refuge underground on the red planet. This environment, which will inevitably happen to earth, happened much earlier to them thanks to their progression of technology and igonorance of everything around them.
