Your birthday

 Today is your birthday, but you aren't as excited as you should be. Your boyfriend of one year, Daehyun, is off on tour with B.A.P. You know he isn't going to be around all the time, but you just want to spend this one special day with him. After you get up out of bed and eat breakfast, you check your phone and respond to all your birthday texts, tweets, emails, and facebook posts.

You see a notification and see Daehyun has posted a message on twitter: "Wish I could be with (Y/N) right now...happy birthday yeobo ^^ saranghae~" You wish that he could be here too and while thoughts about Daehyun swarm in your head, you get a phone call from him.

Daehyun: “(Y/N), saengil chuka hamnida! I miss you..." You: “I miss you too, Daehyun! I wish you could be here," you reply in a sad tone. Daehyun: “I love you so much. But as soon as I get home, I’m taking you out as a belated birthday gift," he assures you. You: “I wish I could stay and talk, but I’ve got to get to an interview. I’ll talk to you again later, okay?” Daehyun: “Okay, bye. Love you.”
You: "Love you too."

You both hang up and you get ready to fight through your day. You go out to lunch with your parents, but that doesn't really brighten up your day much. Later, you go shopping with your friends, and usually that works, but it doesn't make you any happier this time. Your friends notice that you are feeling down, so they tell you to go home and change into something nice and then they would pick you up and take you to a dance club. So, deciding to give it a shot, you head home, but as soon as you get dressed, you text your friends, telling them you changed your mind and aren't really feeling up to it. You decide to sit on your couch and eat leftovers from lunch while watching TV.

A few minutes into the show, you suddenly get a text. You figure it's probably one of your friends trying harder to convince you to spend the day out with them. You pick up your phone and see that it's a message from Daehyun.

Daehyun: "Hey, how was your day?" You: "Not that great...." Daehyun: "Aww wae? :(" You: “Because I didn’t get to see you.”

Suddenly, the doorbell rings. You open it and notice a package left on your doorstep. You find it rather strange, considering the mailman usually comes around noon, yet it's already 7 OM. Nevertheless, you take the package inside and sit on the couch again to open it.

Inside are rose petals and a little velvet box. You open the lid and find a necklace with a heart hanging on it. You hold the heart in between your fingers to examine it closely. On the front it says ‘Eternal Love’ and on the back it said ‘D & (First letter of Y/N)' That's when you know it has to be Daehyun. You smile and tears start to well up in your eyes.

In the distance, you hear soft music coming from across the road in the park. You make your way towards the window with the necklace still in your hand and look out onto the park. To your surprise, you see the path is lit up with candles. Standing near a bright tree is Daehyun with roses in his hand. You're at a loss for words and nearly can't breathe.

You run outside with your arms wide open, tears running down your face and Daehyun catches you in his embrace. You: “Daehyun, I can’t believe you’re here! Why are you here? How did you get here? You’re on tour," you blabber into his chest, unable to contain your emotions, making everything come out at once.
He laughs and puts the roses down on the bench next to him so he can hold you properly. “Calm down," he giggles, looking deeply into your eyes. Daehyun: “I couldn’t be away for your special day. I felt bad all day thinking that I wouldn’t be able to see you and hold you.” He wipes the tears from your cheek with his soft hands.

You just gaze at each other for a few seconds before breaking the silence.

“Thank you for my necklace. I love it~” you whisper.
He smiles and takes it from your hands, holding it up for both of you to see. "It's nice, right? A pretty necklace for a beautiful girl..." he eye smiles you. "May I?" he asks, his eyes glistening. You nod and turn around slowly, your back facing him. He gently clasps the necklace around your neck and turns you around again, before gently placing his lips onto yours. You can feel him smiling as he pulls you in closer. The perfect kiss for your perfect birthday.
