Dragos and Dhargey were flung to the ground as they were hit by another attack from Nightmare. They grunted as their backs hit the ground, and Dhargey slightly shouted as he felt his leg (the one Nightmare shot) hit against the ground. He rolled over and held it, examining it with his eyes, but he was pulled to his feet by Dragos. They stood back-to-back, wands pointed at the approaching demons.
"I wonder what I could call these little guys?" Nightmare said, staring at the fire beasts he conjured. "An eternity has gone by and I haven't even thought of what to call them, hmm...I know! How about 'dreamons'? Dream Demons. Rolls off the tongue, doesn't it?" But Dhargey and Dragos didn't answer his question, as they kept fighting back against the dreamons. They waved their wands, flinging magic to hold them back. Nightmare let out a sigh and snapped his fingers, causing the wands they were holding to fall out of their hands and up to Nightmare's hands. He grabbed them and examined them, spotting the different lengths of wood. He sighed in disappointment. "A shame that the wizards here always rely on their wands for magic. It's very limiting, I would've expected you two to be as gifted as that other one, but given that he's still stuck in the past, then there's no hope for-" he stopped himself. Before he could finish up insulting the others, he felt something weird happening. He looked at his hands, seeing his already-pale skin grow more pale than before.
In fact, the strange sensation made him slightly stumble in the air. His horse brought him to the road, where he sat there, trying to figure out the problem.
"What's happening?" He asked, feeling his power dropping. Dragos and Dhargey looked, trying to see what it was that was going on with Nightmare. Not only was his power dropping, but the dreamons he had summoned were starting to die out, making them stop and watch. The dreamons eventually flitted away, leaving them confused as to what happened.
And then they started to see it.
Rising up around them, setting so high that they nearly scratched the barrier, the doors to everyone's dreams were floating out of the realm.
"The doors..." Dhargey commented.
"But how?" Dragos asked. "How did they..."
Nightmare started to pant at how weak he was feeling, until a presence was felt behind him. As if having felt it, all eyes were on him.
Rising up from below was (F/N), the cloak he wore expanding as if the air beneath it was pushing it up. (F/N) continued floating there, staring down at Nightmare.
There were no words from anyone's mouth, not even (F/N)'s. Not until Nightmare decided to hurl a fireball.
However, (F/N) calmly reacted. With one hand he traced a perfect circle, which created a glyph. He placed his palm against the center of it.
"Vera verto," he said. When the fireball struck the glyph, it transformed into a flock of butterflies. They flapped their wings from this new life and spread out throughout the realm. He then whipped his hand. "Expelliarmus!" The wands in Nightmares hands were suddenly sent flying, but instead of going to (F/N), they went to Dragos and Dhargey. (F/N) eventually touched down onto the road and took a step forward.
"How?" Nightmare said, letting out a small gasp, as if he was gasping for air. "How did you do this!?"
"I had help," (F/N) answered. In response to his answer, an animal appeared next to him. Jumping up behind him, and walking to his side was a tiger. It was glowing silver, eyeing Nightmare with hunger. "All of those nightmares? Fueled by the worst memories in people's past. Their negative memories were replaced, thanks to the one spell that uses positive memories."
"The Patronus Charm," Dhargey gasped.
"So they are no longer seeing their trauma. They are given a happy memory," (F/N) said. Nightmare growled in anger, clenching his fist in anger.
