An unexpected surprise?!

Carina was finishing her twelve hours shift and she walked past the maternity ward and she asked Addison about it, she didn't know anything! She didn't know who delivered the child... and they both looked at each other with questions in their eyes! Suddenly Carina stepped in the room and went near the baby! She gently touched the baby's hands ! Reassured it, everything will be fine!

Addison : oh it seems like the baby has been put up for adoption since birth. 
Carina : ohhh , when was the baby born?
Addison : November 2 nd 2023
20h57 ! A good weight! Seven pounds 18 ounces and 21 inches long!

** Carina immediately called Maya **

Carina: babe I know we said we were not adopting anymore children but there's a brand new baby abandoned by the biological parents and no one wants to claim the baby. Please please Bambina !

Maya : hold on, what? I'm not hearing you properly, did you say that there's a brand new baby who's been born.. and completely abandoned by the biological parents?

Carina : yes that's exactly what I just said
** she said throughout tears coming down her face extremely fast **

** Carina took a picture of the baby in the hospital nursery and send it to Maya**

Maya : ohhhh my goodness, it's so adorable ! What is the baby's gender baby?
Carina : oh right, I totally forgot about that, let me look.

** Carina lifted the baby's blanket and peeked in the baby's diaper and revealed it to her wife**

Baby, it's a boy! He needs a home Bambina !
Maya : alright! Hang on, where are you at exactly? I'm coming to the hospital now to see the baby in person, and I will stop by to pick up a baby car seat and we should have a crib delivered to our house!
Carina : I'm in the newborn nursery right down the hall of the maternity ward babe, Hes almost twelve hours old and it says

" up for adoption, he needs a lung transplant, he's already on the list, been since I was 29 weeks pregnant with him... he was born at 33 weeks gestation , one of his lungs isn't working properly. I'm so sorry I can't take care of him, please find my baby boy a loving home and give him the best life ever possible! I am only fourteen years old, I don't have the money or resources to get him the best chance of a wonderful life, oh and I won't come back to find him when he's older,

Maya : alright hiiii babe!
Carina : hiiii, look how cute he is! We have to take him home babe!
Maya : I agree, he's so adorable ughh !
Carina : yea ? Wait are you saying that you are willing to take him home and raise him as our own?
Maya : well I did come here and im holding a new baby car seat with the matching stroller... yes babe! Let's bring him home!
Carina : okayyyy !
**she smiles with soft happy tears and kisses her wife**
Maya : what should we name him?
Carina : hrmmmm Well all of our boys have Italian names, and I kept thinking of Niccolo ! Which is the Italian version of Nicolas ! I don't know why , I've been drawn to that name...
Maya : Niccolas Deluca-Bishop !
**the new baby boy smiled really big **
Maya : I think we have a winner! What is his middle name going to be?
Carina : I haven't thought that far ahead babe, but maybe we should let the kids give him his middle name?
Maya : excellent idea, okay so let's call Addison in here no?
Carina : siiii!

** Addison came in the maternity ward room and thanked them both for being willing to legally adopt him, she called a adoption service agency and they officially became his legal mothers at 9h59 am on November 3 rd 2023 ! **
