Failed Grieving conventions?!

Wednesday November 26 th 2023 - Monday December 1 st 2023

**Carina goes on a business trip with baby Niccolas obviously, he's been home for twenty four hours and she's got to leave with Addison, Jo , Teddy and Amelia to Talk about being a parent after child loss .. whether it's through pregnancy or adoption loss !**

Carina : I don't want to go babe!
Maya : yes I know you don't... but you won't be alone.. and you're going to help a lot of grieving parents...

**Amelia honked her car letting Carina know she was there **

Maya . Babe everything will be fine...
Carina : okay. I've got everything he needs... his blankets.. his little stuffed teddies... kangaroos lovelies blanket/ teddies... his pacifiers **

** Carina kisses her wife several times **

I'll call you every day Bambina
Maya : I know you will ! I love you
Carina and Maya : I love you so much, to the moon and back, forever and always.

Amelia : hi Carina , hi Maya.
Carina and Maya; hi good morning ladies .

** Carina sat down in the backseat with a one month old Niccolas in his car seat... although she will mostly have him on her while they drive to the convention somewhere in Seattle...***

Jo . Good morning Carina ! Hi Niccolas ! How's he doing?

Carina : good morning Jo ! He's doing good...he's recovering well from his lung transplant so I'm pretty happy about that and very relieved and grateful and thankful for him.. and that we were able to bring him home two days after his surgery....
Jo: well he's really lucky to have loving and caring moms like you and Maya !
Carina : yea... if you don't mind me taking a nap before we talk at the convention... I literally didn't sleep at all last night...
Everyone: oh it's totally fine... we'll let you sleep...
Carina : thank you so much for letting me sleep in the car...
Addison : oh don't worry... We totally understand that... you can totally sleep while we get there.

Carina : okay thank you.... but before I nap.... why do we have to speak about this... like I know WHY .... I don't want to relive all of my miscarriage experience in front of millions of people I don't know...
Addison : yea I know it's going to be difficult but it's to spread awareness...
Carina : there's a lot of ways we could've done this...
Amelia : don't worry Carina! I've been through it too before I had scout ... years ago.... We are going to give grieving parents the hope that they can and will overcome this trauma... and live life with proper tools on how to deal with grief...
Carina : yea I know... but I've lost more children than you did ... adopted and biological children...
Teddy : we know Carina... and we're terribly sorry about that...

They are now in the convention centre and Carina noticed that Nico was coughing a lot... she kept walking around the centre trying to get him to calm down...

Teddy : okay ladies we're up in five minutes! Everyone ready?
Amelia  and Jo : yeah!
Carina : no....
Amelia : huh? What do you mean you're not ready?
Carina : I mean.... Niccolas has been coughing for a while and nothing works to calm him down... I keep patting him on his back like I do after every feed...
Addison : hmmmm , okay.... Let's remain calm...
Carina : too late because I've been panicking for six minutes... I legit fed him before we got here and he started coughing two minutes later... I think we should go back home....

** she kind of gave a little bit of a rough tap on his back to hopefully get him to stop coughing...

** Baby Nico stopped coughing and he started crying **

Ohhhhh thank goodness he's fine.... I still want to go back home with him..!
Addison : alright, I'll go drive you two home... I'm sorry for insisting that you come along...
I wasn't thinking properly...
Carina : sorry ladies... Everything is in Amelia's car , we're all packed.... Thank you for understanding and offering to drive us back home, Addison , I really appreciate it...
Addison : it's my pleasure...
