**Carina is up breastfeeding her Nicco boy and she's just reminiscing about how much she wants to give him the best life she can possibly give him, she doesn't love seeing her baby boy hooked up with a oxygen machine but she knows that he needs it to , until he gets a lung transplant... she is emotional **

Carina : I'm so sorry my bambino , we're going to get your little lungs fixed up soon .. 

** Niccolas babbles away back to Carina ... who has him on her laps for now ! Maya is back to bed from the bathroom **

Maya : babe, what's wrong?
Carina : I don't know, I'm just extremely scared for him.. he's just a newborn baby... he shouldn't be connected to all sorts of wires just to do something that we all healthy people take for granted every day.... what if when he gets his new lungs... he doesn't make it out of the operation table??
Maya : hey hey , let's not go there, okay, I know it's utterly scary and not fun any of this, but the success rate is literally NINETY EIGHT percent.... Babe, and the risk of rejection is very low...  he's our little warrior ! He's been through so much, and he's thriving every day ! We have to keep the faith in god and in Niccolas , baby! I know it's not easy having a sick child.. but so far we've been doing good with him no?
Carina : I understand and hear you babe, but I am still extremely scared...

I want him to feel better, and to receive a new pair of lungs sooner than later....

Maya : I know... and should we tell our friends about Niccolas ? Like they should know about him right? He is a part of our family now!
Carina : yea , but how do we —- your phone has been blowing up babe,
Maya: yes I know,
It's everyone who are desperate to know what our secret is!
Carina : we're not telling them anything until we have the big get together in two weeks!
Maya : babe, it's actually next week!!
Carina : ohhh shit , wait what if even with having every one quarantine so he doesn't get any sicker than he already is... what if I don't want to throw a giant party.. and just walk up to everyone's house and knock, and say , "hey we just came here to let you meet our new addition to our family, he was abandoned by his biological parents and put up for adoption at birth, he needs a lung transplant, he's actually been on the list, 29 weeks... and he was born at 33 weeks... okay thanks for letting us come to your window!"And just leave!
Maya : then we do just that my love, I know you have been up more than I am with him... and you can't think straight with anything... it's totally up to you my love! Whatever you want to do, we're going to do it, no pressure!
Carina : okay, that's very sweet of you, I'll sleep on the idea and let you know tomorrow morning okay? Good night my sweet wife of mine!
Maya : perfect, excellent!
Good night babe I love you so much... you're kindhearted amazes me every day !

Carina : thank you!

** she kissed her wife and falls asleep immediately after, she carefully placed Niccolas in the bassinet in their bedroom next to Carina **

SIX HOURS LATER

Before going downstairs with the rest of their loving children...

Maya : Hi baby, what did you decide to do?
Carina : I don't know, on one hand I really do want to throw him a celebration of life party I just don't want to host it, that's the other thing that is making me hesitant about it, hosting everything....

** Maya has been video recording all of his life so far, it's a beautiful thing to have for when he's older... just like his siblings, they all have their beginning of lives recorded so Niccolas gets that too **

Maya : yea I know, but it's up to you...
Carina : right now I can't think properly... I don't want to have any regrets about it, like I think it's the best thing to do ...
