Kakashi

"Are you sure you're ready to go back? There's no rush to do so". Obito asked as we both got ready for work. After spending time with his family I had started to feel a whole lot better and thought this would be a good time as any to go back and start working again.

"Mhm, I'm feeling better and want to apologize to Kazumi for how I've acted. We didn't get the chance to talk much at your family home".

"Can I hold you"?

I nodded. He made his way over to me and wrapped his arms around my waist. "You can start again today but if you need anything, if someone starts bothering you or you feel an attack coming on don't be afraid to come and get me, I don't care what it is I'm doing ok". I wrapped my arms around his neck.

"I promise".

We headed to work together but Obito headed towards the elevator going towards the rooftop gym while I headed inside to the lobby to talk to Kazumi. Luckily for me, he was at his desk and we were the only ones around at the moment.

"Hey uh, Kazumi". He turned around in his chair and his eyes held a sense of surprise in them along with happiness I think. "Hey Kakashi, what's up"? He smiled.  "Originally I wanted to do this at the party but I didn't exactly get the chance to. I'm sorry about how I acted towards you. It wasn't right of me and you didn't deserve that".

"I appreciate it thank you but it isn't necessary. I'm not mad at you, we all have a past and you shouldn't be judged for it. I don't know what happened to you and I won't force you to tell me anything. All I do know is that your dating my boyfriend's brother and that Madara and Hashirama have accepted you into the family".

"We're not married though". "It doesn't matter, Obito gave you that necklace to wear which means your part of the family". My hand subconsciously made its way to the Red and White fan that was around my neck. This was the very first gift Obito had gifted me. It was a year ago on the day I had said yes to him.

"Thanks, Kazumi". I smiled. "If you ever need anything I'm here". "I appreciate it". I walked off letting him get back to work and headed towards the elevator. When the doors slid open to my department floor I stepped out and took a quick look around at everyone. What I wasn't expecting was to see a new woman there with purple hair.

Just when I thought this would be easy

I took in a deep breath before making my way over to the coffee machine. I poured both mine and Obito's coffees into a plastic cup and added the creamer and sugar when I was interrupted.

"Is it true"? Rin asked popping out of nowhere. I could feel my hands immediately starting to sweat as well as my breath quicken and did my best to calm myself down.

Try Kakashi, you promised yourself you'd try.

"What is"?

"Are you and Obito dating"?

I knew this was going to happen as soon as Obito and I went public. His parents are famous and he's made a good name for himself since taking over the business. Not to mention that he gets along great with everyone here Rin included. My necklace was hidden underneath my shirt but I didn't feel the need to lie to her. It was pointless since everyone knows now.

"It is, we've been dating for a year". I don't know what I was expecting her to say but the response she gave caught me off guard completely.

"That's a lie".

"What"? I looked at her confused. "Your lying, Obito would have told me if he was seeing anyone". "I have no reason to lie to you Rin". "Oh, so you do know my name". "What, of course, I do". I breathed in and out before continuing.

"I'm sorry for how I've acted in the past but I assure you I'm not lying to you, I have no reason to do so". "Yes you do, it's because your attracted to me isn't". I looked at her dumbfounded.

What could have given her that idea?

"I'm sorry"?

"That's the reason your always avoiding me. Originally I thought it was because you thought yourself better than everyone but now I've come to realize it's because you were afraid of letting me know about your romantic feelings towards me since we're Co workers and all".

"What could have given you that impression"? "It's ok if you don't want to admit it right now I just want you to know that you don't have to keep hiding your feelings for me. Obito won't care about co-worker relationships as long as everyone gets along".

I looked over to our office and saw that Obito was busy on his laptop. "I'm sorry but Mr. Uchoha's waiting on his coffee".

I picked up both cups leaving her where she was and made my way into our office where I knew I'd be safe with my boyfriend. "You ok love"? He asked looking up from his computer. I made my way over to him, placed his coffee down on his desk, and kissed his cheek.

"Yeah, I'm fine. How was your workout"? "It was good".
