'a continuation of housewarming'
"
The oversaturated bright colors littered the city. It was an overwhelming place, with the absolutely horrible traffic and incredibly loud people.
I've been here for a few months now and while New York has told me that I'd get used to it I'm starting to lose patience. I can still barely stand it, I guess I never realized how much I like peace and quiet.
Luckily for me I have a few people who'd help me to escape this hell hole. It was... sweet of New York to give me keys to a fully paid for apartment in New York City but it was a bit much.
Not the offer(or the company), but the actual city itself. So I was finding myself in need of a break, and thankfully it was the day before my birthday.
...
Nearly all of the states were in some odd and over-exaggerated mood today, but I guess I always got a free pass since it was my birthday. At least I think that's why the states are so nice, Florida has this mildly interesting conspiracy that says otherwise.
Anyway, Florida theories aside I needed a quiet place to stay or I'd never get any sleep.
My first thought was immediately Alaska, I was nearly out of Jam and it could serve as the perfect birthday present.
I drew stars on my phone screen trying to figure out if it was worth the call. Once I heard a minor dispute outside my door I had my answer.
...
"So are you going to tell me why you called?" Alaska sleepily blinked at me as he helped me grab my blanket from my room.
"I couldn't sleep." I tapped my foot to an imaginary beat as he easily lugged out my oversized list of items that I so desperately needed to sleep. "And you're pretty cozy."
I pushed myself off the wall to lock my apartment behind him. I had to speed walk off to catch up with the guy once the lock clicked into place. Alaska was way too fast for a guy who was carrying what could fit in a large suitcase.
"Looks like you need some cardio." Alaska barely smirked at me. "How 'bout we take the long route."
I scoffed at his competition, especially at this hour.
"I'm not running across Canada to sleep with you Alaska." I blinked only catching the double entendre when it was too late.
"What's that say about me then?" Alaska said behind a silently flustered face.
"That you're a wonderful friend that would absolutely take me to your cabin in the woods." I batted my eyes at him as we exited the building.
"Sounds creepy." New York stood in front of me eyeing Alaska's luggage. "Where you going tiny?"
Alaska rolled his eyes at the taunt before nodding to me. "Ask them, I'm just in for the ride."
"I'm tired and your stupid city is loud York." Maybe to distract myself for the oncoming scenario I grabbed some of my pillows from Alaska after ignoring his insistence. "So I'm sleeping with Alaska."
Alaska let out a quick chuckle at the reused joke while New York crossed his arms.
"What? Best city in the world ain't good enough ambience for ya' princess?" I noticed New York holding a flat medium sized gift-box.
"I like quiet York." I pout a bit as the cold air begins to nibble on my nose and ears turning them a redder shade. "So unless you got another non-intrusive option?"
"Go upstate then. It's quieter there." New York seemed to tie his arms tighter and his brow seemed to furrow more. It almost looked like he was pouting.
