Flashback to Halloween

Emma stepped out of bed and stood with arms stretched, savoring the last few moments of bliss before the day's routine would begin. She turned and a slight smile spread across her face as she admired Abigail sleeping in tangled sheets. Quietly, she crossed the room and nudged Abigail's shoulder gently before leaning in and pressing a soft kiss to her forehead.

She didn't move, but a small smile flickered to life as Emma moved away.

Emma did her best to keep her thoughts off Abigail as she got ready for work. She put on her work outfit and made herself breakfast, before making her way out the door she ran back upstairs to Abigail to let her know she was leaving.

'Abi wake up, i am about to head to work i have to be there early today' Emma said as she sat on the side of the bed.

'I think i am going to stay home for the day' Abigail old Emma.

'Okay I'll see you later then?' Emma asked.

'Of course here is a key to the house, just in case I'm not here when you get off. I have a few things i need to do today. Or if you ever need to get away or if you ever need a place to go or anything.' Abigail said as she handed Emma the key.

'Thank you baby' Emma said with a smile

'Baby?' Abigail questioned with a smile.

'After last night you might just be wifey ;)' Emma said as she walked out the room and out the front door.

Abigail sat there stunned 😧 but what Emma just said. I guess I should do that every night.

Abigail couldn't help but smile as she thought back to the night before. It felt like a dream, a moment suspended in time, and she wondered if she was in love. She hopes it was just the beginning of a beautiful relationship.

Was it possible that Abigail was in love with Emma? What had started as a simple attraction had suddenly become so much more. Abigail knew that she wanted to get to know Emma better, both mentally and emotionally.

The thought of a future with Emma filled Abigail with hope, and she realized that she had to take a chance if she was ever going to discover if what she felt was really love. She decided to take the plunge and express her feelings to Emma tonight.

She wanted to do something special to express her feelings and ask Emma to be her girlfriend officially. After careful thought, she decided to buy her a promise ring and ask her to be her girlfriend.

Abigail wanted the night to be perfect, so she decided to have someone come and help decorate the backyard. She got fairy lights, candles, and special decorations to make it as romantic as possible.

Abigail got dressed and headed to the family jeweler. She had spent hours looking at different styles and designs before finally settling on a delicate, silver ring with a small diamond in the center. She knew it was perfect for Emma.

When she finally emerged from the store, the sky was dark and ominous, and rain was pouring down. She grabbed her phone and weakly out a text to Emma,she wrote,'On my way home but it's raining really bad. Be careful on your way home.'

She hurried to get into her car, hoping to reach home before the storm got any worse. But as she was driving, she suddenly felt a jolt beneath her tires and a loud crash. The car had hydroplaned and skidded off the side of the road, slamming into a tree.

Abigail opened her eyes and she could see a blurry figure slowly walking out of the nearby woods. She felt a wave of relief, knowing that help was finally coming her way. Little did she know, the figure she had seen was the same person who had been at the jewelry store earlier that day, the one who had been watching her intently, and had followed her out of the store, and, with a menacing smile, had caused her accident.

Just then everything went dark.

Emma POV

Emma sighed as she completed the last of her tasks for the day at work. She had been looking forward to leaving so that she could finally go home to Abigail. But Abigail had sent a message saying it was raining heavily, and to be careful. Emma finished up her work, grabbed her purse and headed for the door.

As Emma drove, her mind wandered to the night ahead of her. She thought of the lingerie she had bought for the occasion. With a smile on her face, Emma pulled up to her house. She grabbed her bag and headed inside, eager to collect the lingerie and get back on the road. Emma quickly got changed and grabbed her overnight bag. She found the box tucked away in her closet, and with a satisfied grin on her face, she stepped back out into the night.

The drive to Abigail's house was filled with anticipation. Emma could hardly contain herself as she pulled up to the house. Emma didn't see Abigails car in the driveway so Emma gathered her things and made her way to the door she used the key Abigail'gave her this morning to get in the house and headed to Abigail's room. She sat her things down and decided to call Abigail to see where she was and to make sure she was okay. Her phone kept ringing but she didnt answer. She tried again and got Abigails voice mail again.

'Hey babe just wanted to check in to make sure you are okay, umm give me a call when you get this message.' Emma said as she left a voice mail.

Emma then text Abigail.

Emma- Babe where are you? I just want to make sure you are okay.
Emma got up and decided that she would start on dinner for the both of them while she waited for Abigail to respond.
(1hr goes by and no response)
Emma- Abi wtf i am starting to worry now. Text me or call me when you see this.
Emma- are you mad at me? Did i do something wrong?
Emma-are you ignoring me?
Abigail- I can't do this anymore. Please leave me alone.
Emma- what do you mean? What happened? Where are you?
Abigail- I left town and I don't want anything to do with you just leave me alone.
Emma- what do you mean you left town? Answer you phone!
Abigail- don't call me or text me anymore I'm done with you!!
Emma- Abi please I love you don't do this
Abigail- i Don't love you and it's already done
Emma- if thats what you want I'll leave you alone.

Emma looked at her phone with tears streaming down her face. I cant believe Abigail just said all of that to me. Our relationship was in a good place this morning. I don't know what happened between this morning an now. Maybe she just needs some space. Yea ill go with that, I will get her some space for a few days and hopefully we can talk then. I'm not sure what will happen between us but I know i am not going to give up.

Emma grabbed her things and headed out the door back to her place.
