Its New Years Eve!!!!!

Abigail couldn't believe her luck when she received an invitation to the hottest New Year's Eve party in town. It was being hosted by one of her classmates, Amy, who was known for throwing the best parties. Abigail had always been a bit of an outcast in high school, so getting invited to such a popular event was a big deal for her.

She spent the entire day getting ready - picking out the perfect outfit, doing her hair and makeup, and practicing her party conversation skills.

Abigail text Emma.

A- Hey babe just wanted to check in and let you know i am going to the new years eve party.

E- Hey love, okay dont get too drunk and let me know when you make it back home safely

A- of course, I love you

E- I love you too, have fun baby

As soon as she arrived at the party, she was greeted with loud music and a house packed with people. She immediately spotted Amy and made her way over to say hello. The night started off great with Abigail chatting and dancing with her classmates.

But as the night went on and the drinks kept flowing, Abigail found herself getting more and more drunk. She couldn't resist the temptation of the alcohol and before she knew it, she was completely intoxicated.

In her drunken state, Abigail's inhibitions disappeared, and she started doing things she normally wouldn't do. She danced wildly and sang at the top of her lungs, much to the amusement of her classmates. But then, her attention turned to her phone.

She remembered her teacher/girlfriend Emma, who had always been there for her and helped her through some tough times. In her drunken state, Abigail thought it would be a great idea to text her and thank her for everything she had done.

'I just wanted to say thank you for everything, Emma. You're the best teacher/girlfriend ever! I wish I could marry you right now, but I don't know if I will ever be enough for you' Abigail typed out sloppily and hit send.

Emma responded immediately 'Hey love are you okay? are you drunk?'

Out of nowhere, a group of girls from Abigail's class came up to her and dragged her to the dance floor. They danced and laughed together, and Abigail joined in, trying to distract herself from her thoughts. But as the clock struck midnight, and everyone around her was cheering and hugging, Abigail couldn't shake the feeling of emptiness inside.

After the countdown, Abigail went outside to get some fresh air and ended up sitting on the porch steps. She took out her phone again and saw a series of concerned messages from Emma.

E- Please talk to me, are you sure you're, okay?

E- I can come get you if you need me to.

E- Babe

E- Where are you, I can come and get you now?

A- I miss you so much, Emma. I wish you were here with me.

E- I wish I was there too. Send me your location and I am on the way.

Abigail sent her location to Emma.

E- Headed to you know I will be there in 10 minutes.

Abigail looked at her phone and smiled. Emma pulled up to the house in exactly 10 minutes and found Abigail sitting on the porch. When Abigail noticed Emma, she was grinning from ear to ear.

'Hi beautiful' Abigail said with a slur.

'Hi Hun, come on let's get you in the car' Emma replied softly.
