Jay walked into the room, spotting the Overseer sitting on the couch, looking out of the window.

Jay was wondering why he was there. Or why he was quiet around him and his friends. Or most importantly, why he is hesitant to help the ninjas.

"Why can't you help us? This could be a life-changing battle." Jay spoke, which prompted the Overseer to turn around to look at him.

"The Role of an Overseer is to overlook and not interfere."

"But what if there was a time when you need to?"

The overseer did not answer but tried to walk away when all of a sudden, Jay touched him.

All of a sudden Overseer's eyes were all red with tears forming. All the memories started flooding back towards him, of his past life.

FLASHBACK 1

He did not deserve to live, the team hated him, and the whole world hated him. Why, just why...

For something he had not done, and now he was punished for it. Why does this have to happen to him?

He stood at the edge of the cliff, he lost Nya and now he lost everyone.

He was crying, he wanted to end this. He deserves to die, he thought. He cannot live thinking about what just happened.

He stepped towards the edge of the cliff, he had no choice. He had no path now, no path to build. It was weeks of torture for him, every flashback, every memory.

It blinded him, the emotions. And within a moment he slipped. He did not attempt to move a muscle to save himself. There was no point.

FLASHBACK 2

Wu looked at Jay with sadness and sternness.

'You strayed from the path of the true ninja, Jay."

"The trust be placed in you has been broken."

With it, Wu, his teacher, turned his back as the gate closed shut.

Flashback 3

"I am disappointed in you Jay. Killing him. Why? What has he done? I thought you were better than this, we were great teammates and seeing this disappointed me. I don't know what to say. You made Pixal upset and in turn, made me too. I perhaps do not know you enough. I don't know if this was a part of your grief but if it was, it was not the way to go. I had some doubts about you, you just put a burden on us. Goodbye, old friend." Zane left the gate before Jay could respond.

"I cannot believe what I am hearing. You killing him? Like how dare you? You were better than this. You were a great teammate, while sometimes failing and a great friend. I was wrong, you were weak, too engulfed in your grief that you had to take another man's life. HOW? He was not attacking you! He was our ally! Sure you can kill someone in self-defence but he was not the type to do so. You went down a path we can't follow. Goodbye." Cole interrupted Jay and he soon left.

"Nya death did take a hit on you huh?" Lloyd spoke, he wasn't as harsh as any of his teammates "Look, you killed a man. With great powers comes with great responsibility, and you took none of that advice. Why did you go down this path? Why kill an innocent man, who would be a great benefit for us? You made PIXAL upset, hell, you made Zane upset! The nindroid, who is the most mature one here. That shows you crossed a line here. Hope you go find a better life. Goodbye." Lloyd finished.

"We had our differences. I let you near my sister. Trusted that you can protect her. You failed that. And you continued to be a huge disappointment by killing our ally. You killed my sister, you NEVER DESERVE TO LI-" Lloyd interrupted Kai by pulling him into the monastery.
