17. Meeting the team

Ninjas were alerted of the attack while they were headed back home, but they were too late. But knowing that they had the most crucial item, they decided it was not a risk to go and fight their enemies and resorted to going straight to the Monastery.

"We should have seen this coming, it is obvious that they would attack while we were gone."

"But at least we have this." Jay responded as he showed the canister full of Tiger Widow Venom.

"So now what? Do we just chuck this at Nadakhan?" Kai questioned as he approached Jay.

"Well, no. We need a dart, then we shoot this at his face."

Jay responded to Kai as Lloyd and Cole entered the control room where they were at.

"So Jay, how did you know about the tiger widow venom?" Lloyd asked the question he wanted to ask for a long time."

"Well, that's a long story, I'll talk about it later."

"Later more like never." Lloyd mumbled as he headed towards the control panel.

It was a quiet journey on the ship after they repaired it. It was pretty much the same, except that Zane was steering this time so there was no chance of them crashing.

The ship was peacefully steered through the clouds and hovered nicely above the clouds, hidden away from the lands below. Jay took his chance to go to the deck and look at the sky, it was refreshing, to say the least.

He remembers how he used to lie down on the grass with Nya and look into the sky together. The most favourite thing was that the sky was blue, their favourite colour.

The ship was suddenly put on breaks as they arrived at the side of the hills, which were the base of their monastery.

The team got off the ship and was heading back to their base when they were approached by Wu and Pixal, who were followed by three people they did not recognise.

"Greeting ninjas. Apologies for the guests, they are here for now until the conflict gets resolved. A conflict which happened while you were away."

"I see, Anyway, I think we have what we need to defeat one of the villains."

"And that is..." PIXAL responded to Zane before Wu could.

"The Tiger Widow Venom. I hope this will help."

"Let's go in, you must be tired." Wu ushered his ninjas back into their base, while Jay approached Chloe.

"What are you doing here?" Jay chuckled, he did not expect to meet Chloe after their brief mission.

"Well, our city got attacked, the house got surrounded and I am here now."

"Oh, so was that how you met Wu and Pixal?"

For one second, Chloe was confused by Jay's question but soon got the idea that those two were the names of the people who saved them.

"After meeting them, it explains to me why you weren't there." After Wu and PIXAL saved them, they explained many of their question, including one on why Ninjas were not there they they were needed.

"The bad guys took advantage when we were not here. How they knew we weren't there is another question."

"How was the mission?" Chloe spoke in a calm manner, something that reminded Jay of Nya.

"It went better than I thought."

Jay and Chloe looked over to see Cole and Seliel were having a talk, it seemed like they enjoyed each other company.

"I never seen Cole be this happy with another person. Aside from me of course." Jay chuckled as he looked back at Chloe. It looks like they will be spending with each other for a while here.

"So now what?"

"I guess, we should get going," Jay replied as he went into the monastery, being followed by Chloe and Soon being followed by Camilo, Seliel and Cole.

During all this, Kai and Lloyd were looking over them, wondering how Jay went over this so easily, Jay was Nya's biggest lover for sure, While Cole was interested in being single. They soon went in when Zane walked out of the bounty.

Chloe and her friends looked in awe as they traversed through the hallways of the monastery, it was more fancier than what they had imagined.

They soon made their way into the control centre where Jay gave the container to PIXAL and Zane for them to look at.

While they scanned the item, Camilo approached the ninjas.

"So what powers do you have?"

"Fire." Kai responded, while others were busy on the venom.

"That's it? Fire?"

"Yeah..."

"Like Jeong Jeong or Zuko?"

"Wait wh..." Kai paused as he thought, he was confused by the question. He tried to answer the question as best he could.

"Each of us is the master of an element, mine is the fire." Kai soon demonstrated this by creating a fire with his bare hand.

"So like Torch."

"No, I cannot turn myself into a fire." Kai looked at Camilo in confusion, he did not know where he was getting these characters from.

Soon, they were both interrupted by the voice they had not heard for a while, Zane.

Zane was so focused on his job that he did not realise there were guests in their base. When he was done, he was shocked to see unfamiliar faces.

"Who might you three be?"

"I am Chloe, these are my friends, Camilo and Seliel." Chloe was great with the introduction and someone who was confident socially.

"I see. Anyways, I fear that with the city being overtaken, I think throwing this at Nadakhan will be difficult. And that he has a companion, who has telekinesis powers."

"Can we maybe help?"

"Preferably not. But if you have skills, maybe you can. We appreciate some help."

Jay looked at Chloe, he knew that he had some skills in archery, and maybe that could work.

"But speaking of the venom, how will we shoot it to Nadakhan?" Lloyd spoke as he looked at Jay, as he was the only one who remembered stuff from the timeline.

"The thing is, we have to improvise."

"Why? What happened?" 

"Well last time we did it with a specific gun, but since we don't have that at the moment, we need to improvise."

"Can't we just find a gun?" Kai asked.

"...No, let's just improvise. And Since we have a bow and Arrow and Zane is proficient at it, we can use that."

"Alright. Since we are all here and got what we need. What should we say? We go and make a plan?" Cole suggested.

The team soon got started on making a plan.
