14. The Truth

Deathstroke stormed into his office only for Nadakhan there waiting for him. But he was holding a blue crystal. But whatever it was he was angry, this was the chance they had to take over the city but they failed.

"Why were you not there!"

"Patience."

"Do not 'patience' me I got you here, you got the powers, we have what we need."

"So you want your team and me alone to go and fight just so we get defeated? I am a lone man here!" Nadakhan growled at Deathstroke, this was the reason why he wanted to work alone before.

"I got you here."

With such anger, Nadakhan knocked Deathstroke to the floor, causing his men to point weapons at him.

"Stand down. I am just trying to make my point. You see, I used this opportunity to get the crystal in turn gets my crew back."

Nadakhan turned to open up a portal and saw many of his old mates falling through. He betrayed them last time, but this time they won't, and he will make sure of it.

"Ok, now you got your men." Deathstroke stood up and Nadakhan faced him "Now are we ready?"

"What about the plan? We did not discuss our plans yet."

"Fine, I want dominance, you?"

"Rev-" Nadakhan interrupted himself, he could not tell his crew what happened in the past, the same thing could happen again. As much as he wanted to say he wanted revenge, he had to say the other option so his crew could be on his side.

"Rebuilding Dinjago, once destroyed by ninjas and I intend to rebuild it." Nadkhan continued, that this was not in his mind, what was on his mind was getting revenge.

"There is one thing I am forgetting." Deathstroke took a deep breath, hoping this would work. "I wish... our next attack will not be a failure."

"Your wish is yours to keep."

As soon as the words were spoken, the Overseer felt an uneasy feeling. Something was off. it felt that the balance was shifting. He sensed this before with the Overlord but that was known but this was not. This was alarming.

His job was to keep the balance and keep the time flowing, letting destinies come and go, and to protect the people who were in great danger.

He knows that he cannot do too much, he does not want to the mistakes that the last overseer made, going off the path, and using their powers as they wished. Causing them to be replaced by his soul.

Speaking of which, he still has not yet figured out who he was. He has to have done something worthy to end up as the Overseer, replacing the original one at least.

He soon went up to meditate and study the imbalance. He had to warn the protectors of Ninjago. The ninjas, the people whom he had seen before. Especially the blue one, he still wondered he he was the one that was in his vision and not anyone else, not even Nya.

Meanwhile, far away from the bounty, Jay lay slept in the Medical Bay. The team decided it was best to put him there and leave him alone as they always did.

Soon, Jay woke up. It felt like he had a fever dream. He opened his eyes to see that he was in his infirmary room. We picked up the mirror to see, bright ginger hair, a scar across his eyebrows, everything's normal, but he could not bring himself to not remember the time he had an eye patch and the future he had seen, but will never come true.

Soon, the memories and pain began flooding as he realised that Nadakhan was back. And maybe he was here to get revenge or do worse to him.

Nadakhan was a dangerous man, he ruined both his and Nya's life in the past. He can do it again now.

He had to warn his team. Even if it means telling them everything. At least Nya was dead, that means Nadakhan won't get his infinity wishes.

Jay soon walked into the control room with his entire team inside, along with Former Sensei Wu, now Master Wu.

"Looks who's back." Cole smiled at Jay, hoping to cheer him up but saw no change. This worried Cole, was it about Nya? Or something else...

Jay chuckled before trying to explain to his teammates everything. "You know Nadakhan right?"

"I believed he was the pirate a long time ago who was soon trapped by Captain Soto."

"Yes and now he is free and a big danger!" Jay exaggerated his last point as he always did."

"We can see he is free but, I don't know for sure if he will be a danger to us."

"Of course you say that but no! Back when we were chasing Clouse right? It turns out he uncovered the port and released the Djinn, who grants multiple wishes and Multiple ar-"

"Woah bud, can you slow down? I don't recall any of this." Kai was interrupting Jay as usual, his usual stuff.

Jay took a deep breath as he tried a better way to explain to his team about the lost timeline.

"Let's put it like this, Nadkhan was released by Clouse, we tried to get him, but we failed and thus he got released. One by one he tricks us into wishing it all away, until is just me, Nya Cole and Lloyd. While we were trying to get the tiger widow veno-"

"Tiger widow what?"

"Let me finish. Tiger Widow Venom was the only substance that could weaken Nadkhan, don't question how I know that." Jay spoke as he pointed at Lloyd, who at this point put his hands up.

"While we were trying to get that substance I got captured and tortured for days until you all rescued me but wait, while doing so Nya got captured and forced to marry that Djinn, which gives him infinite wishes. We managed to defeat him but unluckily Nya got in the way of the Tiger Widow Venom and died making me cry and setting all timeline back to when we were at the rooftop and were publicly harassed by Dareth."

Jay took a deep breath, he had no energy to see the shock on his teammate's faces. Sure he missed some details but he wanted to get this all out.

"About the Tiger widow Ven-"

"Wait you were tortured!? How come I never heard of this?" Cole interrupted Lloyd, who then slapped him on the shoulder.

"Sorry, it was really harmful, and something only Nya and I know about. And now that I am over that..."

"Why were you tortured?"

"He was trying to get me to say the last wish. And also to mention. I am adopted. Turns out I am a soon a Cliif Gordan!"

"Cliff Gordon?"

"A guy who plays Fritz Donnegon!"

Kai rolled his eyes at this, he hated when Jay added unnecessary stuff but found his somewhat entertaining. Almost as if Jay was his annoying brother.

"Well, I am surprised Jay. Yes, you are adopted, sorry we did not tell you this earlier." Wu joined in.

"It's... fine. Is my mom alive? If so why did we abandon me?"

"That's a long story, young Walker."

"Back to topic, about the Tiger Widow Venom. If that is the only thing we can use to defeat this powerful dude man. We need to get it."

"Yes, but be careful it is lethal to human beings, thats how Nya Died."

"That... is a lot to unpack." Zane said finally, he was silent throughout the whole ordeal, listening to Jay carefully, like he always did even though someone can be offensive or inappropriate to certain situations.

The team was planning to get to the island. Luckily Jay managed to remember the exact point of where the island is, backe dup by the satelite.

As Cole left, Jay called out to him.

"Sorry, for not telling you this. You mt best friend, you did deserve to know."

"Don't worry about that. It's your choice to say or not."
