Camilo, Matilda and Chloe were in the living room of the house that they shared. They no longer live with their families, as their family wanted them to move to the City to live a better life.
Matilda and Camilo were talking while Chloe was silent. Matilda noticed this. She and Chloe had known each other since childhood, and they had many in common such as technology and sports.
Soon enough, when Camilo joined, they had more things to enjoy. Even though Camilo is not close to Matilda and Chloe as they are together, he still cares about them and knows when something is wrong.
"Chloe, you seem quiet."
"Yeah. It's nothing." Chloe tried to deviate from the conversation "How come you two are not a couple already? You seemed great with each other."
"We are not." Matilda
"She's not my type."
"Totally." Matilda rolled her eyes at Camilo. Even though he denies it, it seems like he likes her, but it can be just him messing with her. "Anyways, you look like you saw someone that piqued your interest."
"Yeah. Remember the ninjas that saved us? I saw one of them again today and I like him, a lot."
"Liking him already? You just met him?"
"Is it a black ninja?"
"No, a blue one."
"Nice. But I have my eyes set on the black one, after some research, he sure looks mighty. He had a nice name, unlike mine." Matilda did not like her name, she usually goes by her middle name."
"Be careful to not make yourself look like a fan when meeting him." Camilo received a push from Matilda after his statement.
"I met him in the shop, he seemed nice. I felt a feeling towards him."
"Me too."
"You just like them for their powers don't you?" Camilo pouted at his friends, it was clear that he was annoyed by this conversation.
"So if I have powers, would you start liking me?" Camilo continued.
"No. Powers have nothing to do with this! Besides, I think we get along real good."
Chloe looked at her friends arguing. She felt that there was something inside of her calling out to the person she met in the shop. A feeling of wanting him. She decided not to talk about it, it was not that important, and she could deal with it on her own. She was too deep in her thoughts to not realise that her friends talking about powers.
"Not for a troublemaker like you. You nearly got us killed remember?"
"It was not my fault."
"Totally. Chloe, is there something you want to tell us?"
"Nothing. It's just a feeling that's all. What about you, did you have that?"
"I don't know, I think I might have a crush on him."
"Maybe time till tell." With that, Chloe stood up and left for the kitchen.
Meanwhile, Jay was in the living room with his friend Cole, playing games while Kai and Lloyd were on their own talking about who knows what, while Zane was cooking.
He loved his team and his brothers. They were always there for him, and Kai. And more so after the death of their sister.
As they played, Kai was fuming, he was losing against Jay. While Cole and Lloyd did not concentrate and just laughed at Kai's reaction.
"Come on! You cheated!" Kai threw his controller at the sofa as he stormed to his room.
"Someone needs to get Kai." Cole wonders if Kai got over his sister, it's hard to know as Kai usually never tells others about his emotions. But what they did know was that Kai did get protective over Lloyd.
"I don't think you should be too hard." Lloyd told Jay. Jay was a master of Gaming, and it was a shocker that he was still good even though he hadn't played this in months.
"Says a person who got last place."
Lloyd pouted at Jay as he placed his controller at the side table before leaving.
"Another round?"
"Maybe." Cole saw the expression change on Jay's face. He knows him enough that he knows when something is wrong.
"Is everything alright?"
"Is it wrong to have a feeling for someone, especially when your previous one died?"
"What do you mean?"
Cole was his first friend. He never had friends in school as he was seen as a 'Junkyard boy' and always was looked down on. He was bullied for it.
"Remember the time when we saved three people earlier?"
Cole nodded, it could sense the conflict in him, he was closer to him than any other member.
"Well, I met one again today. And we talked. And then I had this feeling I had once for Nya towards her. It feels weird as if I am comfortable around her." Jay meant to talk about this but each time the time was not right. He was the one who delayed their concern and when he does, it is sometimes too late. Nya was the only one who could notice early and when she confronted Jay, he gave in.
"I mean, Nya wanted you to be happy, move on. Plus, it's not like you immediately went looking for a girlfriend after her death, that would have been disrespectful."
"Yeah, you're right. Maybe I should know her better. But I don't know if she feels the same way. She might have moved on. The problem is, I don't think Nya wants me hanging out with another girl."
"Was she a fan?"
"She did not know we existed."
"At least that's good. Not dating a fan..." Cole trailed off. He did not realise that Jay knew him well too.
"What with you and your fans? Did you date one before?"
"No! It's just that there are crazy fans out there trying to date one of us. And if we date one of them... You know. But that is not the point, the point is, at least she can be a human being and treat you decently if you ever become friends." Cole nearly interrupted Jay, he did stumble in some fans who had a crush on him and were fighting over him, one of the reasons why he was careful about having a girlfriend.
Jay was about to ask Cole one more question before being interrupted when Zane walked into a room.
"Dinner is ready."
