𖤐 2. Demon Attack 𖤐

Grian had a lot of fun starting out on Hermitcraft, but his demon nature did show but everyone called it off as a new prankster on the server and he was a true troublemaker, starting wars and fights here and there, starting his alter ego 'poultry man' as a way to cause more chaos, but everyone liked the smaller hermit and they saw him as a part of their family, nobody but Mumbo and Scar knew that he was a demon and they became close friends and they trusted each other a lot.

Even though Grian trusted his friends with his life, he never told them he was a High Demon, he told them about the ranks of demons and how they looked and they had just assumed he was a Greater Demon, even though it wasn't necessarily lying, it felt wrong but he feared what the server might do to him if they found out.

Grian was one day just flying around the shopping district, he missed his leather wings but the elytra wasn't that bad, he saw X looking at his admin panels with a worried look on his face, he decided to land behind the admin, hoping it wasn't because he had figured out what he was.

"Hello X, what's up?" He asked and smiled and X turned around and closed his panels.
"Nothing much G, why are you asking?"
"You're lying, you look and sound worried" The demon said and the admin sighed and opened up his admin panels.

"There are demons on the server, I don't know the rank of these or how many just that theres a couple" he said and Grians heart skipped a beat. "Where are they?" He asked and X looked at his admin panels, then his eyes widened. "They're at Mumbos base!" He yelled and the blonde got a panicked look in his eye and took off, Xisuma tried to take off as well but his elytra broke, Grian flew back and caught the admin and carried him over to his best friends base.

"Wow! You're stronger than I thought G!" Xisuma exclaimed and the demon scoffed "I get that a lot" he said and the base came into sight, he flew faster and he dropped X on the floor and landed protectively in front of Mumbo.

"What rank are these Grian!?" Mumbo yelled and X looked confused but Grian quickly replied. "They're superior demons" he said and X looked worried. "What does that mean?"
"They are the second most powerful demons, the only ones more powerful are the High Demons, and there are only a very few of those" Mumbo explained and the demons hissed, moving closer to the trio with their claws out, ready to claw Mumbo.

"Puny mortals! I will slice you with my claws and will poison your blood so you'll die!" The probably leader grinned and showed off his claws.

"W-what do you mean die?" Mumbo asked, his voice breaking, Grian knew the poison would work in a matter of hours and that there was no cure, unless a Superior or High demon would trade their life for the others, as anyone being a Superior or High demon was immune to this poison.

"If you get just the slightest cut with this claw, you're dead" the demon laughed and Both X and Mumbo took a step back, unfortunately, the redstoner took a step away from Grian.

One of the demons, the leader, leapt forward but before it could hurt Mumbo,
Grian used his enhanced speed and stood in front of his friend and took the hit for him.

"GRIAN!" Both X and Mumbo yelled at the same time and the admin quickly ran up to the wounded hermit, deep clawmarks covered the left side of his face and he held his hands up against the wound, blood dripping through his fingers.

He knew that the wound would be gone in a matter of minutes but his worried friends didn't, they thought he was dead.

"GRIAN! DON'T YOU DARE DIE LIKE THIS!" Mumbo cried and X kneeled down in front of the blonde.
"Grian, how do you know that much about demons and how do we kill them?" He asked, not able to hide the grief in his voice, Grian looked at the demons behind them, getting ready to attack again.

The builder quickly pushed his friends out of the way and then rolled to the side himself. He got up and made his wings and horns appear so he had the same form as Mumbo and Scar met him in.

"TRAITOR!" X yelled and quickly took a protective stand in front of Mumbo, Grian felt hurt, all he wanted to do was protect Mumbo and now the admin was protecting the redstoner, from him.

The other demons laughed, "AWWW, IS THE LITTLE 'GREATER' DEMON GOING TO KILL US!?" The leader asked with a rough laugh, but then he quieted down and the laugh turned into a huge grin.

"Instead of fighting you, I'll just attack your little friends over there!" He said and Grians eyes widened in fear.
He only had one choice as there was no way he could make it over to them.

"STOP THAT!" He yelled and the demons stopped dead in their tracks and looked at him.
"What did you do!?" One of them hissed and the High demon unfolded his wings fully.

"I will NOT let you hurt my friends!" He hissed back and the demons eyes widened.
"You're a High Demon aren't you?" One if them stuttered and Grian grinned.
"Of course, how else would I be able to control you?" He said, grinning. "Go home!" He ordered and the demons groaned but did as they were told.

A portal opened and they disappeared into it. The builder exhaled relieved before he remembered he had an audience, he turned around quickly and was met with the shocked and scared eyes of his friend.

"YOU'RE A HIGH DEMON!?" Mumbo yelled and Grian shrugged. "Surprise?" He said nervously and X turned around to face Mumbo. "You're surprised he's a High Demon!? How about him being A DEMON in general!?" He exclaimed and Mumbo scratched the back of his head.

"I- I kinda already knew?" He said and the admin opened his mouth but shut it promptly again as he couldn't find the words.

"You knew and didn't tell me that a demon was on my server!? He's dangerous!" X yelled and Grian felt his heart drop, it felt like his whole world was spinning, of course X didn't want a demon on his server, he was going to get banned and lose all of his friends.

He transformed back into his human form and just stood there and watched his two friends fight.

"Dangerous!? He just saved my life! And yours! And your server!" Mumbo yelled and X's expression changed from anger to guilt.

"Sorry G, you can stay, but if you do anything out of the ordinary you're getting banned" he stated strictly and Grian ran up and hugged the admin. "Thank you so much! Also please don't tell anyone that I'm a demon, I don't want to be judged"
"Alright, we understand" Xisuma said and Grian smiled. "Thanks X-eye-suma" the demon said with a smile, he had for sure thought that he would be banned.

He waved goodbye to the two men before flying off to his own base, this reveal wasn't that bad but he still worried about what the rest of the server might think.
