Dami's pov:

The food they ordered already come and now they were eating delicious pancakes, some scrambled eggs, bacon, and cornflakes. Y/n had talked about the meeting with Jiu and it seemed that everything went well.

"You cannot believe how important this cooperation with Minji is. This will bring my company forward and maybe I can even expand." Y/n explained while munching on some eggs.

"I'm happy for you," Dami replied.

"Thank you. It was a long and hard way but it was worth it. I mean all these years of hardship didn't only make me rich they also led me to you." Y/n smiled as she grabbed Dami's hand on the table. "Maybe it was fate that brought us together."

Dami said nothing and just smiled while she looked into her girlfriend's eyes. It didn't take long for Y/n to blush and turn her gaze away.

"You are right. It was fate that I found you." Dami agreed. "How about you tell me about the plans you made?"

"Sure." Y/n's eyes lit up and her smile got even bigger. "I thought about two options. Number one is you and Siyeon move to my apartment. Number two is we could buy a house near the old factory. It's a little away from town but still close to my company so we don't have to drive through the whole city just to go to work."

"You mean the big old mansions which are abandoned for ten years and the city desperately wants to sell for as cheap as possible?" Dami asked.

Y/n nodded.

"I read something about it but you know we would have to renovate if we buy a house there. They are old and demolished." The secretary said.

"I know it's not tempting but it only needs a little bit of work and we would have our own house. We can renovate it how we want and it is not as expensive as a townhouse or building a new one." Y/n explained.

Dami started to think about it. Y/n would've to put a lot of money into this project and Dami didn't want that.

"You said we but in the end, you will have to pay everything since I'm broke." The secretary explained and felt the tears burn in her eyes.

She couldn't look any longer into Y/n's eyes. It was true. Y/n was rich and all that Dami could offer as support for this project was advice. She had nothing left after the long lawsuit with her ex-husband. The lawyer was just too expensive and the court costs were anything but cheap.

"Hey, don't worry. This is nothing. I'm willing to invest in our future." Y/n said softly as she let her thumb brush over Dami's hand. "I love you and I want to build a home with you. It doesn't matter where that is."

Dami wanted to reply something when Siyeon interrupted them.

Y/n's pov:

The words that came out of Siyeon's mouth were so unfamiliar that you first thought she was using an imaginary child's language until you realized it must've been her mother tongue. Your girlfriend and her daughter were asian but they never talked in their language when you were around. Dami replied something but again you had no clue what they were talking about.

"I'm sorry." Dami apologized as she noticed your puzzled look." I told her not to speak it when other people are around but sometimes she forgets."

"No, it's okay." You assured her with a smile. " What kind of language was that?"

You were a little embarrassed to ask her that. She was your girlfriend for a few months now and you didn't even know her ethnicity.

"Korean," Dami said and blushed.
