Another Knott To Tie

We walked back into the party, relieved that Goyle let us in. Draco was standing on top of a table ready to pop the champagne. Everyone began chanting as the clock struck 11:59.

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!

Fred and George released the fireworks and everyone cheered. The bright colours lit up the room. Bursts of red hearts and vibrant shapes. Each Hogwarts house had a firework of their symbol and colours. The twins always out do themselves. I watched, eyes wide, unable to resist my awe. From the side of eyes I could see Mattheo watching me.
"You know I could stare at fireworks any day, but the way they light up your face, your eyes... ugh, it makes me weak." He smiled childishly. He came hurriedly, pushing past everyone. Mattheo took my face in his hands and put his soft lips on mine. Cupping my face as I staggered back. I heard the pop of the cork. We were so immersed in the kiss that we didn't notice the cork flying at Mattheo's head. It hit him and I heard a loud clunk. He tripped side ways grabbing his head, "OW! What the fuck Draco!!"
"Sorry mate, my bad,"
"I'm gonna drown you in champagne," Mattheo threatened. Draco smirked.
"Dude your aim is so off," Enzo chimed in.
"Oh yeah? And you can do better," Draco challenged.
"Sure," Enzo scoffed, "right now let's go."
They both walk over to the basketball arcade set up. Everyone crowded around watching. Pansy, being obsessed with Draco, starts overdoing it with the cheering. All the Slytherins are on his side except one peculiar girl. She keeps gazing at Enzo intently, lost in wonder. She may even be mesmerized by him. I think she's a year below us, she looks like someone but I can't pinpoint who. I turned to Mattheo,
"Theo who's that?" I pointed at her.
"Oh that's Nott's sister, Elowyn," he replied. Ah, no wonder. She had the same dead eyes and straight face. Also that beautiful jawline.
"Why?" Theo asked.
"I think she fancies Enzo."
She kept staring as he kept scoring, silently clapping after each shot. He caught her eyes, and I felt like I was truly witnessing love at first sight. His cheeks flushed and his ears were pink. He wiped his sweaty palms on his pants and adjusted his collar. Aww, Enzo was nervous.

He turned back to the shots red as a beet, his score still higher than Draco's. Pansy scowled, "Fuck off Berkshire, don't you have dick to suck?!" Oh fuck no she didn't just say that. There had been rumours that Enzo was gay, but I knew it wasn't true of course. Pansy, being who she is, had been cruel about it everyday.
"I'm gonna gut her like a pig..." I whispered under my breath.
"Oh shit." Mattheo smirked.
I marched my way to her, out for vengeance, out for blood. Just when I reached her she fell at my feet holding her eyes and crying out. There stood Elowyn, Theodore's sister, she had little perfume bottle in her hand that she sneakily put back in her purse.
Theodore came running, with a small grin he said, "Elowyn what did you do?"
"Well she was being rude so I just sprayed some of my perfume."
"Sure, perfume. You've been experimenting with acids again haven't you?"
"Well yeah..."
"Shit. Take her to the infirmary then." 2 Slytherins lifted her and dragged her away. During this whole interaction I just stared amused.
"Hey, Nott, this is your sister right?" I chimed in.
He sighed, "Elowyn meet Y/N. Y/N, Elowyn"
I held out my hand, she took it quietly. "Lovely to meet you, Elowyn. Big fan of your work." I winked. She laughed and Theodore smirked. I like her. But most importantly Enzo likes her. He stood there, surprised by her actions. I signaled him over. He ran his fingers through his hair and waddled forward. Looking so awkward with his long legs. He towered over her and she gazed up, grinning.
"Hi, um, thank you... Elowyn," he hesitated, "Do you want to, maybe, teach me how to make that acid of yours? I love potions." He rubbed his neck.
"Oh, it's no problem. I love potions too. Maybe you could meet me at lunch tomorrow?" Enzo nodded, a little excited. Awh, my Enzo has date.

I walked back over to Theo, smiling brighter than when I left. "Well that was the cutest thing ever but I am exhausted."
"Well then," He lifted me up, "best get you to bed."
"HA! Shut up. You know there won't be much sleeping." He hushed me grinning, carrying me to the Slytherin dorms. Tonight was wonderful, and it was just going to get better from here.
