The Brave Little Dragon Best Friends Vs Brain tumor

Chapter 2

Hot shot, Hoist, Medix, Whirl and Wedge were all fast asleep in their hospital rooms. Each of them were holding on to stuffed animals that they brought to the hospital with them. They all began to dream.

They saw each other in the dream. "Hey what is that?" Hot shot asked.

"I don't know let's go see," Hoist said.

"Good idea," Wedge said.

"Let's check it out," Whirl said.

"I bet we will find out what it is when we get a closer look," Medix said. 

They all headed that way together. "Hey look at that," Hot shot said. 

"Yes check it out," Hoist said.

"Whoa," Whirl said.

"Wow," Wedge said.

"It's a brain," Medix said. 

"Look there are four more brains," Hot shot said pointing at four more brains sitting next to the first brain in a row. 

"There are one, two, three, four, five of them," Medix said counting.

"Just like there are five of us," Whirl said.

"That is right," Hoist said.

"I wondering all of us and these five brains are doing here?" Wedge asked.

"Hello there," they heard.

They looked up at the brains. "Who are you?" Hot shot asked pointing at creature. 

"I am a brain cell," the brain cell said. "I am one of the types of brain cells. I am an astrocyte, which means I help give the brain it's structure while helping bring nourishment to the brain and fixing it," he said.

"His I am Ependyma cell, I line areas full of fluid to help protect and nourish the brain so it can function," Ependyma cell said.

"We are different types of Glial cells, we all help the brain with it's functions and help hold it together, and Astrocytes are on of us,"  the Glial cells said. "There are many different types  of us with our own names and we all have a different job," they said. 

"We are neurons we help the brain send messages and process info from the five senses," the neurons said.

"Wow I never knew there were so many cells types in our brains," Medix said.

"There are many more types but it will take a long time to name all of us," the astrocyte said. "The brain is an amazing thing, it helps you to think, question, find answers, to move, to feel, to dream, and to talk. It helps you do everything, even remember things, like your mom telling you when you are going to get ice cream during the day." he said.

"Wow that is like, wow," Wedge said. The others had to agree.

Then the kids were plagued by headaches. "Ow my head," Hot shot said.

"Of all the times for my head to hurt," Hoist said. 

"Why does my head hurt so much?" Whirl asked.

"What is going on?" Wedge asked.

"My head hurts a lot," Medix said.

Then a siren was going off. 

"What is with the siren?" Hot shot asked.

"Something is wrong here," the astrocyte said.

"Look," Hot shot said. "On the left front part of that brain there is a lump," he said pointing at the first one.
