Short chapter, but it's important
Narrators point of viewThe super heroes were we're in restraints as syndrome, press the remote on the television, scanning through all of the news channels, which were all reporting on the mysterious craft that crash landed straight into the city, and how the military was already mobilising
Syndrome: hey, hey come on you got on it this is pretty cool it's just like the movies the robot will be unleashed upon the unsuspecting city thousands of people are screaming and just when all hope is lost syndrome will save the day!
He turned back to the heroes : i'll be more of a hero than Mr incredible ever was
Izuku gritted his teeth: you mean to tell me you killed all those people all those heroes so that you could just what pretend to be one!
The villain turned around and stared at the captured heroes : oh, I am real real enough to beat you and Mr incredible and his whole family in case you haven't noticed
Violet joining in : oh yeah, well I don't remember seeing you anywhere when the guards were chasing us through the jungle you didn't beat us, you caught us off guard
Elastic girl surprised by her daughters outburst: violate what's gotten into you?
Her daughter responded: I don't know, but I do know that I'm really ticked off at this guy. He thinks he's so brilliant because he thinks he killed all those heroes. He didn't kill a single one of them. He built the robot that did it. If it was actually a fair fight you'd lose syndrome.
Syndrome laughed: oh that's adorable in case you haven't noticed the world does not play fair kid for example, how the heck do you think us normal people feel in comparison to you supers how do you think it makes us feel seeing you do something we know we could never do in our wildest dreams or because you were born that way does that sound fair to you?
Izuku went quiet for a moment, and some level he could understand syndromes argument. He didn't know why, but he could there was almost as if there was a part of himself, telling him that syndrome was right however, he shook this off quickly
The amnesia hero : i'll admit that doesn't sound fair syndrome it's like you said the world doesn't play fair, but here's the problem with your argument. You have a multi million dollar company you live on a private island you are a genius that could change the world for the better.
The villain streaks hair back confidently: thank you, I appreciate the compliment
Izuku rolled his eyes: but You are a genius and you're blinded by jealousy. if you wanted to help people like a hero, would you would've used your genius to? I don't know, solve world, hunger, cure cancer or something, but no, instead, you're jealous of the supers, not because of their powers because they're all the attention they get isn't it that's what this all is about you're like a child dressing up in a costume and trying to stop a bank robbery. You have no idea what you're actually doing
Syndromes smile faded: so what do you think anyone's going to care what I am doing this for when I save them all from that robot they won't have Robux I'll give them the worlds greatest heroic state ever seen and when I'm old and I've had my fun I sell my vengeance, so that way everyone can be super. Everyone will be super!... And when everyone, super, no one will be
Dash: you won't get away with this Dad will stop you
There was a brief moment of silence that tightened in the room, Violet and izuku looked at each other concerned. They still hadn't told the youngest about the loss that the family had received and they weren't sure how much Elastic girl knew about the situation
The deafening silence was interrupted by syndromes laughter: ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha you mean to tell me you still haven't told him... Will allow me deliver you. The bad news kid your daddy went splat!
Dash confused: what what are you talking about?
Syndrome enjoyed taunting the boy: oh for the love of his dead, gone, gone to a better place. Don't believe me why don't you ask your green haired friend he was there when the deed was done.
Dash looked to izuku hoping for him to tell that the villain was lying, but his silence was all the answer he got, and it was the only answer he needed to know the truth The weight of what he had just been told, dawned on him, and began to sob and cry
Syndrome: oh well I'll take this as my opportunity to leave. At least you've got something to talk about while you watch me save all these people right before you all die. Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha!
