Young, naive foolish hope. Two teens, obsessed with the idea of love, but not the truth of it all. How strange it was, they both expected so much from love - diving in head first with no devotion to understanding. Like jumping into the ocean with no interest in learning to swim.

Sofia stood behind the deli counter of her dad's bodega. She looked up when the door opened, a bell dinging.

"I been calling." Daryl said, walking over to the counter, leaning against the glass

"I know. I have caller ID." Sofía grinned

"Then why don't you pick up?" Daryl asked, hitting the service bell

"Because I knew you'd come over if I kept ignoring you." Sofía giggled

"Mm.." Daryl hummed, walking around the counter

"Hey! Employees only. Read the sign!" Sofía argued

Daryl mumbled a response as he walked over to Sofía. He placed his hands underneath her butt before rubbing the supple flesh in his hands, squeezing. He glanced around, ensuring there was no customers in the area before he picked up Sofía, placing her on a table

Sofía giggled as she wiped her arms around his neck, "Hi you." She hummed

"Hi, baby." Daryl said, pressing his forehead against hers, "Where's your old man at?"

"Why're you thinkin' of my dad right now?" Sofía teased

"Jesus Christ, Soph." Daryl groaned

Sofía laughed as she kissed him, "He's at the butchers buying more meat."

Daryl leaned down, kissing her neck softly, "I gotta go help Merle tie up some loose ends across town. I just wanted to see ya before I left." He said, vaguely

Sofia tilted her head back, absorbing the feeling of his lips on her skin, "Let me pack you guys some sandwiches." She said, a soft moan escaping her lips as Daryl sucked a hickey onto her neck

Daryl ignored her as he snaked his hand up the back of her shirt, "I can't get you off my mind, Espinosa." He mumbled, "You are gonna be the death of me."

"Like a brain tumor." Sofía said playfully

Daryl pressed his forehead against hers, "You say the oddest shit." He said, kissing her passionately, just wanting her to be quiet.

Now, they were nothing but two strangers.

Sofía refused to acknowledge Daryl. She had managed to make it an entire week without having to communicate with him.

Sofía was sitting on the bed of her truck, Shane, Glenn, T-Dog and Morales standing beside her as they all examined the map

"We should get medical supplies." Shane said, "Maybe hit up a drug store."

"We're good on medical supplies." Sofía said, vaguely

"What? The two bandaids in Dales glove compartment?" Jim asked

Sofía sighed, "I was at work when everything went down. Everyone left and I took stuff out of the medicine cabinet." She said, rubbing the back of her neck

"Like what?" Shane asked, "You waited a week to say something?"

"What was I supposed to say? I stole medical supplies from work?" Sofía asked

"Yes!" Morales said

"I wanted to wait until I was comfortable. I didn't know you guys!" Sofía argued, "You coulda killed me and taken my bandaids."
