The next day, Izuku woke up to the sound of something hitting his window. He rubbed his eyes and looked to see a bird hitting the window with its beak. "Seriously? It's too early for this."

Izuku looked at his alarm clock next to him and saw it was 5:00 a.m. That's right. I must go to school. He sat there for a moment before he got out of bed. He walked to the light switch and flicked it and was surprised to see the horror of his door. It has a lot of scratch marks all over the door with a few dents, and small amounts of blood on different spots on the door. Izuku walked over to the door and slowly placed his hand on it and slid his fingertips over the marks.

As he looked at the door, he didn't think of anything. What he did was out of panic and any other teenager in his position would do the same. Yet, he waited, not for someone to come through, but for the voice to say something. I guess he won't talk.

He walked to the bathroom and opened the cabinet. He extended his arm and saw his knuckles covered in dry blood with many cuts. As he grabbed the toothpaste and his toothbrush and grabbed the med kit and did what he needed to do.

Izuku checked the time to see it 30 minutes prior to him going to school. He took this as his chance and grabbed something to eat before he left. He walked for about 30 minutes to school and arrived one hour early. He stood in front of the school when he saw a car pull up.

Izuku let his guard up and waited for the person to leave the vehicle. Once they did, he relaxed as soon as he heard his name from a familiar man. "Izuku! It has been a while! How have you been?" Mr. Aoi asked.

Izuku smiled and said he is doing well. "How about you?"

"Same old, same old. Getting up early and getting ready for class. Why are you here so early?" Mr. Aoi asked.

"My...parents told me to leave the house before six."

"And not your sister?"

"Nah, but it's okay. I'm used to it."

Mr. Aoi gave him a sympathetic smile and turned his car off. He went to the back of his car and grabbed his bag. He walked to the gate and looked back at Izuku. "Aren't you coming in?" "Oh, yeah," Izuku replied.

Izuku and Mr. Aoi walked into the classroom. Izuku went straight to his seat in the corner while Mr. Aoi laid down on his desk. Izuku didn't question it and looked out the window.

They sat in silence until Izuku remembered about work. "Mr. Aoi, can I get the work that I missed?" Mr. Aoi looked at Izuku with a confused face. "Your sister didn't give you your work?" Izuku simply shook his head. Mr. Aoi let out a sigh and looked back at the ceiling. "Don't worry about the work. I will let it slide and I will have a talk with Izumi."

"No, you don't have to."

"But I should. I gave her simple instructions to give you your work and she did not follow through. This affects your grades, and she did not have to care in the world to think about your life. Just like your classmates."

There was a long silence before Mr. Aoi let out a small chuckle. "Sorry. I guess I'm still tired. Stayed up all night grading papers." There was another silence before Izuku spoke. "Mr. Aoi, I appreciate your help, but I can handle it myself. You don't need to talk to Izumi, and I can handle my own battles. I don't need your protection."

"It is my job to p-"

"I don't care if it is your job! I want to stop helping me, so stop!"

"...Why?" Mr. Aoi asked.

"Because I need to learn how to fight my own battles and stop letting people take charge of my life."

"If that's the case, then why haven't Katsuki, Katsumi, and the others leave you alone? Why are you still getting bullied? Why are you still getting beat up?" Mr. Aoi asked.
