When Fu Chen heard this, he smiled in a low voice and said, "Okay, I will definitely ask you next time. However, since the proposal failed, let's celebrate your birthday first. If it weren't for your cousin bringing you here, you wouldn't be able to remember your birthday." Fu Chen said while pulling Ye Jin to the place where the cake was placed.
Ye Jin listened to Fu Chen's words, as he walked to the table where the cake was placed. Looking at the milky white two-layer cake with Happy Birthday and candles on the table, he asked curiously: "How did you make this? It looks pretty good."
Fu Chen glanced at Ye Chen with a curious look on his face. He then said with a smile in his eyes: "This is what I managed to make little by little after searching for information with a few of your cousins. This is the most successful one. Hurry up and make a wish. We can then cut the cake."
Several other people watched Ye Jin's arrival and listened to the conversation between the two of them. They also heckled with a smile on their faces. Ye Lin'an and Ye Xu, meanwhile, rejoiced as Fu Chen's proposal was rejected and was of no assistance. Before they all began to jeer and demanded that he make a hasty wish, it was Ye Jin's turn to celebrate his birthday.
Ye Jin watched everyone celebrating with a smile on his face and felt warm in his heart; even his gleaming peach blossom eyes had a layer of shiny water color.
No one knows whether his birthday this time being on the same day as his birthday in his previous life was a coincidence. But Ye Jin didn't have a "birthday" in his previous life because of his parents. For him, birthday is not a day worth talking about, so Ye Jin didn't even remember that today is his birthday.
At present, Ye Jin looked at a group of relatives and friends who were surrounding him for his birthday. Amidst everyone's heckling, he closed his eyes with a faint touch and began to make a wish, and then tried to blow out all the candles in one breath.
After Ye Jin blew out the candles, everyone clapped and cut the cake together and chatted in twos and threes, while Fu Chen looked at Ye Jin's blushing face with a smile and asked, "What wish did you make? Why is your face so red?"
When Ye Jin heard the words and turned to look at Fu Chen's smiling face, his blushing cheeks were even more red as if dripping with blood. He held the cake in his hand and said, "You can't say your wish. It won't work if you say it. Let's eat the cake quickly."
Ye Jin hurriedly dug up a lump of cake in his hand and stuffed it into his mouth, obviously changing the subject.
However, Fu Chen, who was fed a bite of the cake by Ye Jin, became very stunned at the sight of the cake's entrance. Seeing that Ye Jin was about to put the newly scooped cake into his mouth, he immediately reached out and stopped it.
Ye Jin was perplexed as he observed Fu Chen's behavior with suspicion.
Fu Chen faced Ye Jin's puzzled look and hurriedly said, "Don't eat it. It doesn't taste very good. I'll make it for you again when I learn it well in the future."
Ye Jin looked at the very beautiful cake in his hand, then turned his head to look around at everyone's reaction. He then discovered that although everyone had a piece of cake in front of them, they had only nibbled a corner and hadn't yet moved beyond it.
They were basically drinking with a glass in hand; even Ye Lin'an and Ye Xu, who were responsible for making the cake, did the same, sneaking in this direction while drinking.
Then they noticed Ye Jin looking in their direction with the missing piece of cake in his hand as he showed an endless expression. Ye Lin'an walked over with his head bowed and asked, "This cake, did you really let Xiao Jin eat it?" He said this while giving Fu Chen a stern look.
