Behind Closed Doors

Chapter 3

As I walked into my Language Arts class, my teacher, Mrs. Hatteras, was not pleased. She glared at me as I went to my seat. I knew I had trouble coming as soon as I heard her footsteps coming towards my seat. She was a pretty scary teacher. She has long, dirty blonde hair with a gray streak. Long, almost twig like, legs and arms. Hunched back and a very wrinkly face.

"Kanji, why are you late this time?" She sounded furious. Her voice thunderous, echoing around the quiet room. "Well?"

I was almost trembling. I was afraid she would turn into a beast and eat me.

"Um, well I had..... Uh.. my locker, was uh, stuck! Yea my locker was stuck and I couldn't get it open! I had some friends help me!" I tried so hard to look as normal as possible. She almost believed me, until Dani walked into my class and said "Mrs. Hatteras, Mr. Spryce wanted me to tell you why Kanji was late!"

She looked quite happy about this. Ever since she started dating Koda, she's been trying everything to get me out if the picture. Detention, suspension, hell she even tried to get me expelled for something I didn't freaking do! She was a total bitch, yet Koda couldn't see it.

"Well?" Mrs. Hatteras yelled, "Spit it out Dani!"

A smirk appeared on Dani's face. She always wanted to see me struggle. Not this time. I will be completely calm and chill! I will not let her ruin my last few minutes of my final class.

"As I was walking out of the bathroom, I witnessed Koda and Kanji horsing around in the halls." She seemed so eager to get me punished for some reason.

"She was yelling in the halls and was very loud! I'm surprised you didn't hear her."

At that point, there was only four minutes of class left, so Mrs. Hatteras didn't give me any kind of punishment. She just left me off with a warning, and Dani didn't seem too happy about it! I on the other hand was laughing silently to myself.

"But Mrs. Hatteras I'm sure you will give her some sort of punishment!" Exclaimed Dani.

"There is only about a minute left in class, so there is not a thing I can do Dani. You'd better run to your own class before your teacher gets angry"

And with that, Dani stormed off angrily. I was just happy that I didn't have to do any work! With only 30 seconds of class left, Mrs. Hatteras wouldn't have time to even write my name. Thank God that there are now only 3, 2, 1..... *ring*

Another short chapter I know. I just can't really think straight at the moment. I don't have much time to write with all my school work and upcoming concerts. But like I said don't worry it gets better as it continues!
