Ardella Baratheon stood before the Unsullied as she watched Daenerys Targaryen among the sea of Meereenese people who shouted Mhysa and threw their slave collars at her feet.
A bright smile is painted on the queen's face as she passed the former slaves she freed, her pride and delight evident. It was a glorious view for one who serves the queen and a breathtaking sight for one who harbors affection for the woman.
Ardella curtsied with a nod when the queen's party joined her. Daenerys held her gaze for a second before staring at the captured masters below them. "Remind me, Ser Jorah. How many children did the Great Masters nail to mileposts?" She asked.
With a worrying glance and hint of disgust old man replied, "163, Khaleesi."
"Yes, that was it." Daenerys turned to Grey Worm who gave a signal to another Unsullied. When they started to move the Great Masters with force, Ser Barristan interrupted, "Your grace, may I have a word?"
The queen allowed the knight and he continued to reason, "City is yours. All these people, they are your subject now. Sometimes it is better to answer injustice with mercy."
"I will answer injustice with justice." Daenerys's confident answer caused the young Baratheon to smirk which didn't go unnoticed by the queen. "You. Follow me." She ordered to her and left the knights.
Ardella glanced at the great masters as Unsullied nailed them to mileposts one last time before following after the queen.
At the top of the great pyramid, Daenerys Targaryen's chamber resided with a magnificent view of the whole Meereen beneath her feet.
"When you vowed to die for me, did you mean to die while ignoring me?" Daenerys questioned straightforwardly when they entered the said chamber, "or does serving mean neglecting your queen in Westeros?"
Ardella held the queen's challenging stare and contemplated her answer. Clearly, she isn't planning to declare her jealousy when she is at no place to claim the queen as hers.
Her jaw clenched at the thought and looked away but she had to answer the queen, "I do serve you or sending you my council through Missandei doesn't count, your grace?"
Daenerys eyes narrowed but she was not interested in playing the Baratheon's game any longer. "As your queen, I command you to explain your behaviors of late."
"What behaviors?" Ardella decided to act dumbfounded which angered the Targaryen. "Absence at the council meetings. Negligence to serve your queen. Ignoring me for days." Daenerys's voice got louder at the end.
Ever so composed queen was clearly frustrated as she fumed in front of the Baratheon. Daenerys frowned at Ardella's silence in response, "Aren't you going to talk?"
Ardella's continuous disobedience and the way she challenges her authority in a manner that no subordinate would ever dream to do infuriated the young dragon as much as it excited her. However, as of this moment Daenerys was in utter disbelief at the Baratheon princess's unyielding resolve which ignited the fire inside of her.
"I'd rather not talk." Ardella said and approached the queen to pin her against the wall. She saw the murderous intent in the queen's enraged eyes but she connected their lips nevertheless.
If she beheads me, better to have a memory of her kiss. She thought but all thoughts of possible execution vanished away when Daenerys bit her lip causing the Baratheon to gasp. Instead of pulling away, the queen ferociously kissed her back while her fingers tangled in the dark locks of the Baratheon.
