"PLEASE! LET GO!" I huffed, feeling my breath shorten. But his grip was holding on tighter while he still said nothing. He pushed me down onto the floor as I panicked. I knew how to do martial arts but I just couldn't move anymore. I saw a fist come flying at me as it landed on my face.

I grunted, feeling the strong wave of pain. Seungcheol..

"Taerin-!" I saw a leg kick the back of the unknown man's head. The man fell straight on top of me as I pushed him away. I stood up, running to Seungcheol. "I got police with me..I'm sorry I took long." He panted, I could feel that he ran everywhere.

"Where is he?!" The police came running in the scene as they took out the guy. "I'm terribly sorry this has happened. Please take this. We'll call you early morning." The police passed a card to me and I took it. But after that had happened, I slowly returned back to normal.

"So is this how I pay you back?" Seungcheol smiled at me.

"Wow- You won't even ask if I'm alright? Get out of here." I scoffed, walking on ahead.

"Sorry..Are you okay?" He jogged up to me.

"Yeah I am. Anyways. No that's not going to be your pay-back." I folded my arms, still harsh towards him.

"Too bad." He giggled staying close to me. Then ringing came from his phone. "I'll pick this up real quick!" He said and we kept on walking. "Hm? Mingyu?" That name took me. I knew it was them from the café.

"Hyung! When are you coming?! We're all waiting for you! Always think you can stay out late everytime huh?!" Mingyu complained, nagging Seungcheol through the phone.

"Are you nagging me?!" Seungcheol fought back. They seemed to have a close connection if they were arguing with a smile on their faces.

"Yeah!" Mingyu laughed, hanging up.

"Sorry Taerin..I'll walk you home and then I'll leave." He explained to me and I shook my head.

"You can go if you want." I grinned but he disapproved.

"I don't want you calling me back again, hm?" He winked at me and I scratched the back of my head with embarrassment and some fear lingering behind me.

"Fine.." I huffed as he walked me home. "Thank you..For everything." I bowed and he gave no response. "I think..this could be your pay-back. I'll delete your number when I can." I took out my phone, clicking on contacts.

But then he paused and placed his hand on my phone. "It's fine. Don't delete it. I don't want this to be my pay-back." I saw his eyes shine under the lamp post as it crumbled my heart.

"Why..? Will you not get into a scandal for just talking to me now?" We were stuck in that position as we kept on talking.

"But we aren't doing anything wrong right? So why does that matter now.?" He asked with a short tilt on his head.

"Thank you..Seungcheol oppa." I bowed once again, grateful for what he had done for me.

"Just call me Seungcheol. We don't have to be formal." He smiled, taking his hand away. "I'll expect that we'll see eachother soon." He added, jogging away. I watched him before he disappeared and then I locked my door.

"Gosh..He's really nice." I flopped onto my couch, feeling the laziness build up inside of me. But along with it I felt a little drowsy so I closed my eyes.

_______

"Dad! I got-" I rushed into his room without permission.

"So..I should leave? What about my daughter?" I hid behind the door and then peeked a bit to listen.

"I suggest this idea..It might be good to leave for a while. Of course you should speak about it to your daughter. But we really do recommend this for you to feel better and not become the parent who would abuse their child." An unknown voice came from his phone.

"I guess it is for the best." Dad looked upset. Is it because of Mum?. "But I can't leave yet. My daughter is far too young to be left by herself. No other family member from mine lives around here."

"I agree." The unknown voice continued on and then I kept on listening. "How old is she, if I may ask?"

"She's 9." Dad answered and I counted in my head. But then I dropped my pencil.

"Oops.!" I bent down to pick it up but then Dad turned to look at me. "Oh- Dad!" I exclaimed, playing it off.

"I'm guessing you heard?" He chuckled, walking towards me.

"I'm sorry.." My eyes turned watery as he rubbed my cheek.

"It's okay! It's good so it won't be hard explaining everything." He smiled, carrying me in his arms. "When you're older..I will go on holiday." He said, and I nodded.

________

"LET ME GO!"
________

I snapped wide awake in shock. I placed my hand on my chest, breathing deeply. "Am I that scared..? I was lucky enough he didn't have a knife." I mumbled to myself. Then I remembered my assignments I had to do for my Dad.

I went through the folders to take out the files and made sure the bills were going to be paid, our taxes and that there are just no extra payments. I checked the time to see that it was only early midnight.

As much as it felt like forever, it wasn't that long. "I shouldn't have taken that nap..Now I'm not tired." I groaned, still yawning even though I wasn't so tired.
My phone was on 10%..It was eerie in my house.

But then ding! A notification appeared on my screen. I flinched a little for being so into the silence.
