It was probably not the content itself but the way that my father told me what i could call, the biggest crossroad in my life! His face was calm and not one of his enemies would see sonething else than deep calmness...but i was not one of his enemies. His hands were almost in fighting position and his eyes were scanning the whole room. This were clear signs of strong fear. Then he started talking, his voice changed from a normal low business-men voice that tried to look perfectly ready to end a deal to an old man voice that was screaming at you to take your ball from his front porch. It sounded more like when he had a cold and almost couldn't breath.
After i tried to insist more on the subject, i think he had a nervous attack. 'Elle, i will tell you once and then you will lockyourself in your room and don't get oyt until your teachers arrive! You are adopted, fine! No, you are not adopted! If i have to say the truth it will be until the end. You are stolen! Yes. I had stolen you from my biggest rival in the market place. He is still looking for you from what i know. Your real name is Ashley. I can't believe i told you! Now go back to your room, you are grounded!
I felt as if the whole room was shrinking. I didn't faint just because i wasn't sad, i was frustrated, terrified and angry. All my ideas and conspiracies relayed to this came true in the eorst way. Now i had to get back to tge place where i lived. Firstly i had to call the police than my parents. If my parents were still alive my life could change. I could restart my whole life. School instead of teachers, friends instead of servants. Family instead of lies.
'You can't keep me in here! I know where you worked so i will find my real my parents!'
'Darling, you know one of my working spots. I have thousands! You will bever find your parents so Elle get back to your room and wait fir your teachers. This never happened.'
'My name is not Elle!' This were the last words i told him before i got shot. He shot me. Right through the elbow. The pain was more than awful but i didn't start crying. I ran. As fast as my feet could hold me. Then i never knew how to stop running.
