Musical Suggestion: Natural by GSoul
Ji-Won
After Paris left Abby and I, we sat quietly for a moment, taking in the ambiance and atmosphere of the holiday.
I looked at Abby and she was swaying a bit back and forth, smiling as she poured herself another drink. She threw it back quickly and looked at me. She smiled at me lovingly. I hoped she would be open to my confession, but I would like for her to remember it and in her current state, I don't think she would.
"Abby," I said leaning closer to her. "Are you okay?"
"Yup, I'm good. You?" she said, looking at me. I giggled which made her smile.
"I'm okay. Would you like to take a walk?" I asked. She looked like she needed some air and the night was still young.
"Yes please," she said, grabbing my hand. It took me by surprise, sending a warm feeling through my body. I laced my fingers with hers and she held on tight as we decided to leave.
"We should say goodbye to our host first," she said, pointing to Kwan.
"You are correct. Let's go and tell him we are leaving first," I said, leading her over to Kwan. I glanced over to the table with Chin-Hwa and his admirers and he took a double take as he watched Abby and I, hand in hand.
"Kwan, thank you so much for my first Chuseok. It was amazing," she said happily.
"Oh it wasn't much, but I'm glad you joined us and enjoyed yourself, " he said, smiling and winking at me.
"Yes, I had a great time. Thank you," she said, bowing slightly to the point she almost fell over.
"Whoa," I said, grabbing her before she fell face first into the bar.
"Are you going with her?' Kwan asked, being concerned.
"Yeah, we're leaving now. Hyung, thank you for everything." I said holding onto Abby as we started out.
Outside, the cool weather awakened Abby a bit as she opened her eyes wide and inhaled the fresh air.
"Oh my goodness," Abby said, still holding onto my hand. "I'm so full and I think I've had a lot to drink,"
"I agree, as did I. But I think you've had more than me,"
"I'm sure I did," she said as we started walking, still hand in hand.
She held my hand tightly while she swayed during our walk. I would pull her back to me when she would lean the opposite way too much.
"Ji-Won," she started. She stopped and looked at me.
Was she about to tell me about Chin-Hwa?
"Yes,"
She stepped closer to me and looked me directly in my eyes for a moment. She looked as if there was so much she wanted to say, but she wouldn't bring herself to say it aloud.
I just need her to tell me she's interested in me. I will open up and smother her with so much love that she has never experienced. I wanted to take care of her as long as she would have me. I needed her to understand what my confession meant; I wanted to be dedicated to her and her only, and I wanted the same in return.
"I want to go back to my place," she said. I caressed her face and she closed her eyes as she appreciated my touch.
"Of course," I answered. Abby leaned in closer and I laid her head on my shoulder. I embraced her, wrapping my arms around her and inhaling her scent. She smelled magical. "Let me call a driver," I said, fishing my phone out of my pocket.
