Musical Suggestion: Love Lies by Khalid w/Normani

Abby

The night went along as planned so far according to how Paris suggested. The dinner was delicious and we all enjoyed each other's company. It turns out that Chin-Hwa and Ji-Won attended a few classes together as well as hung out together when they were in school.

I sat next to Ji-Won, who made sure my plate or bowl was filled with the best bites of food. He made sure to place a bite of food on my plate before he followed with his. We would steal looks from each other as we sat at the table. Paris sat across from us and next to Chin-Hwa. He and Paris carried on their own little conversation which helped me focus on Ji-Won. He looked happy to have me alongside him.

As the dinner wined down, people started saying goodnight and thanks for a glorious meal to Kwan. I excused myself to the restroom while everyone was moving around. On the way out, I ran into Chin-Hwa. This was the moment I was waiting for all night.

"Hi," he said nervously.

"Hi," I replied, trying not to make eye contact.

"So you know Ji-Won huh?"

"I see you do too," I said, finally making eye contact.

"Is he the one who made your heart change," he said, sounding a bit jealous.

Was he really doing this now?

"What? Are you seriously doing this right now?"

"I'm sorry, I've become a bit attached," he confessed. I didn't expect his response.

"We will talk about this another time," I said as I tried to walk away and he grabbed my hand.

"If it's true, I won't go away easily," he said. I pulled my hand away and walked back to the table.

What else could happen tonight?

I walked back to the table and took a seat next to Paris.

"You look like you've seen a ghost," she blurted.

"I just talked to Chin-Hwa,"

"And?"

"He's jealous,"

"Well damn girl," she said, fanning herself.

"Where is Ji-Won? I'm so ready to go," I said looking around.

"I don't know, he'll pop up soon. So who are you leaving with?" she asked.

"I'm leaving with you," I said. She giggled and shook her head.

Ji-Won

I was glad Abby had come to the restaurant with me. I had been hoping she would come out with me more often but I know how busy she is. However, I was happy she joined me tonight as it seems as though she's starting to allow me to get closer to her. I've been waiting since I laid eyes on her when she walked into my coffee shop to get out of the rain.

She is so beautiful to me yet I understand how she feels about relationships. It sucks that she has had such a terrible break up that she doesn't want her heart broken and she's not trying to use it. I know I would be a good man for her as she needs someone who values her for the precious jewel she is.

I knew she had had her moments with a few guys, but there was nothing serious, or so I thought. She had been hanging out with someone who had her attention. I was wondering who this person was as she had been tight lipped about him. I thought she may have mentioned a model but I wasn't so sure to be honest.
