Cheryl's Bedroom (Day 5)
*The next morning, Jodie and Cheryl were sleeping peacefully beside each other in Cheryl's bed, laying close together. But as the sunlight shined through the curtains, Cheryl's eyes slowly fluttered open. Her eyes soon widened when she realized how close she was to Jodie and immediately rolled onto her other side, her cheeks burning with blush. After a couple minutes, she heard Jodie starting to wake up and she closed her eyes, pretending to be still asleep*
Jodie: *sits up, stretching out her arms as she yawns. She suddenly begins hearing her cellphone ringing and reaches over to the nightstand, picking it up. When she sees it's Tammy calling her, she smiles and answers* Good morning, Gorgeous. *says softly, not wanting to wake up Cheryl*
Tammy's Voice: Good morning, Hot Stuff. Did you get any sleep or did the ghosts keep you up? *chuckles softly*
Jodie: I slept pretty good, actually. But it would've been better with you beside me.
Tammy's Voice: Yeah, I missed having you beside me too. I just can't wait to see you later.
Jodie: *smiles softly* I can't wait to see you too.
Tammy's Voice: Hey, after the memorial, you want to go over to Pop's and get something to eat?
Jodie: Yeah, that sounds good. I imagine after what I said to Cheryl's parents last night, I'm going to be lucky to get crumbs.
Tammy's Voice: Ooh, what'd you say to her parents?
Jodie: I basically called them "cruel bigots" and said Cheryl's mom's a nightmare monster that may actually be worse than mine.
Tammy's Voice: Woah. Maybe I'll bring you a sandwich. If you wanna skip the service, I'm sure no one would blame you.
Jodie: *shakes her head* I told Cheryl I'd be there for her. Besides, after what she said to me about her parents last night, I don't feel comfortable leaving her with them. She's scared of them, Tam. I could see it in her eyes.
Tammy's Voice: What are you going to do?
Jodie: *sighs* I don't know. But I have to figure it out, before we leave today. Well, I better hang up now.
Tammy's Voice: Okay. I'll see you later, Sweetheart. *blows her a kiss*
Jodie: See you later, Barbie Baby. *blows her a kiss and hangs up, noticing Cheryl slowly sitting up* Morning, Cher Cher. Did I wake you?
