Josh and Ophelia are currently having some tea with Josh's inner man within the Equalists and is Amon's right hand man.
Josh: So, let me get this straight: Amon has been taking the ability of benders for a while and he's planning to do the same thing with both the avatar and Republic city's air benders? (Has a drink of tea) sounds to me that something is coming.
Lieutenant: That's right. Amon's been a problem, Including that protester in the park.
Ophelia: he certainly is a problem be saying 'Equality now'. Such nonsense.
Lieutenant: I agree with you. (Looks around and shows the pair as non-benders and benders being friends) I mean look around us: benders and average people are living coexist.
Ophelia and Josh looked around them and find that the lieutenant does have a point about benders and average people who are living together in harmony.
Lieutenant: there are benders who use their abilities to commit troublesome acts too.
Josh: like who?
Lieutenant: the triple triads and criminals.
The pair realise that the lieutenant is right when Ophelia remembers a news report about a break in at a rich family's mansion. However, the lieutenant has a secret that he has kept at Josh's request.
Lieutenant: does the fire princess know about your secret bending ability?
Ophelia: (confused) What secret bending?
Josh: if I tell you, you must promise me that you will keep it as a secret, Ophelia.
Ophelia: certainly.
Josh: I'm Republic city's only platinum bender. My friend knows this and has kept it as a secret for awhile since I saved his life. And has kept it as a secret since.
The pair were informed about a rally in a couple nights and were asked NOT to attend if Josh wants to keep his platinum bending a secret. They agreed to do so and parted ways which made them think about something.
Ophelia: do you trust him?
Josh: in all honesty, I don’t really know. But he is someone to count on.
Ophelia: even if he'd attack me?
Josh: then I'll protect you from his lighting rods.
Later.
Korra and Mako inflated the same rally as the lieutenant had told Josh and Ophelia were informed about. When Mako and Bolin fought against the lieutenant, they felt like the lieutenant was holding back until he had Mako against a wall.
Lieutenant: I'm not your enemy. I've been under cover at the request of lieutenant Beifong to take down the equalists.
The lieutenant gets clear as Korra appeared and vanished.
