raised by the chef of Republic city's police, a young man has a unique ability called Platinum bending, the very material that can counter metal bending. After the battle against Zaheer, the Platinum bender learns a startling truth.
At the United Republic city hall, a group of council members are in discussion about what to do with Amon and the equalists. The council member of the Northern Water tribe, Tarrlok spoke up.
Tarrlok: We need to create a task force whose sole mission is to find Amon and bring him to justice.
Tenzin opposed the idea of the task force but Tarrlok's notion has been unanimous voted. Which posses the question: who'll be in charge of the task force? That question was automatically answered as Tarrlok nominated himself.
That night at air temple Island, Josh is watching Korra practice earth bending with Ophelia watching Tenzin's kids when they heard a voice from the radio.
Amon: (through radio) Good evening, my fellow Equalists. This is your leader, Amon. As you have heard, the Republic Council has voted to make me public enemy number one, proving once again that the bending oppressors of this city will stop at nothing to quash our revolution. But we cannot be stopped. Our numbers grow stronger by the day. You no longer have to live in fear. The time has come for benders to experience fear.
Walking over to both the avatar and her bodyguard, Ophelia wasn't very amused with the message.
Ophelia: that Amon sure likes to hear himself talk. (Ponders about something) however, something about him seems....off.
Korra: off? How?
Ophelia: it's just a feeling, Nothing too serious.
At dinner, The air benders had a visitor. It was Tenzin's fellow council member, Tarrlok. He asked Korra to joined his task force but was turned down. The next day, Mako had finished doing various things until he gets hit by a moped.
?: I'm so sorry about hitting you. I didn't see you.
Mako: (annoyed) how can you not see me?! I was ju-just (sees the rider removing her helmet) uh, I was ... I- I ... wow.
The rider reveals to be Asumi Sato. She apologies for the misconnections and offered Mako dinner at a restaurant called Kwong's Cuisine. Meanwhile, every time she gets a present from Tarrlok, Korra's answer remains the same and hasn't changed while getting annoyed. After Bolin gave Korra a thank you present, a delivery was made.
Messager/delivery man: Delivery for Avatar Korra.
A large number of flowers was delivered to Korra.
Messager: Tarrlok sends his compliments and urges you to reconsider his offer.
Korra: (annoyed) That's not going to happen anytime soon. So how about you tell him to stop wasting my time and stop delivering his useless gifts.
After the messager left, Tarrlok refuses to give up and extend an invitation to a gala in the avatar's honour which made Josh and the others unsure.
Josh: I don't understand why Tarrlok refuses to give up on inviting Korra. This sounds fishy.
Ophelia: i agree with you, he doesn't take no for an answer. But I would like to go to the gala as well.
Josh: without a bodyguard?
Ophelia: (smirks) I have no intention of going by myself. But I would like you as both my bodyguard and my plus one.
A little while later, Josh and Ophelia had joined Korra and Tenzin at the gala. Ophelia is in a special royal fire attire as Josh is in a suit. The kids ran past the four.

The group of four encountered council member Tarrlok before they met up with Lin.
Tarrlok: so glad you could make it, Avatar Korra. (bows to Ophelia) it's a pleasant honour to meet you, Princess Ophelia and her esteemed bodyguard/ lieutenant of Republic city's police: Josh Beifong.
Josh: you never change do you, Tarrlok?
Tarrlok: I have no idea what you’re talking about, Lieutenant.
Josh: you're not fooling me, councilman. Throwing a party for the avatar in attempt to get her to join your little task force? That's a new low, even for you. Just accept her answer in that regards and leave her alone.
During their transaction, Tenzin suddenly catches his son something silly.
Tenzin: Meelo! No, that's not a toilet! Oh dear.
Elsewhere, Korra meets Asumi and her father who looked kinda suspicious for some reason. Korra hesitates to join Tarrlok's task force but it was only for a short while after she had encountered Amon.
