We came home about an hour and a half ago, cause we had dinner with Ollie and Kacey. I didn't realize how tired Athens was, until we were on the ride home. She fell asleep as soon as she curled up in her seat with her feet tucked to the one side and her head laying against the window of the car. We should have left sooner or she could have told me she was tired. But it was Athens, never wanting to put up a fight. Just going along with everything you plan or say. Never thinking of herself and how she feels in the moment. Only what your feeling.

I could tell she was easily taken advantage of in the past. I guess that's why she's so hesitant and frightened. Never putting up a fight with you. Allowing everyone to make decision for her.

Now as I entered our room I found her in the same position I had laid her. When I carried her in. But her hands clutched her lower abdomen, While her face contorted in discomfort. Her pink plumbed lips parted leaving out whimpers that were barely audible. But it was enough for me to rush over to her side.

My hand gently caress her cheek before her eyes shot opened. Her hand was quick to brush it away, before she realized it was only me. Though her grey eyes danced with uncertainty, I silently sat my self on the edge of the bed.

My eyes staring down into hers, as searching for an answer to my unasked question.

She avoided my gaze at all cost, until I tilted her head up wards so I could properly study her face. "Are you cramping?" I whispered tenderly, brushing my lips against the soft skin of her delicate cheek. "Yeah." Her voice came out strain and unsteady. That I felt my heart brake. I hated seeing her in pain that I couldn't help her with. Hated seeing how hopeless she gets when in need of help. That she won't ask for any of my assistants. Thinking it's to bothersome to ask me.

I just want to help her.

I shifted myself up towards the bed frame, before I patted the spot in front of me for her to sit. She shook her head vigorously, while she scooted herself farther away from me. No I didn't take offense, cause there was no point too. She was just scared and uncertain. At the moment and I didn't mind her cold and hot spells with me. Cause she's just learning whether to trust me or not.

"Sweetheart, c'mere." I spoke quietly, my hand lightly brushing her hair to one side. To which she responded by curling up into a ball. That I was familiar with, when it came to her being scared and frighten. From what I can remember I don't know why she's so jumpy all of a sudden.

It's scaring me more than it should. After all, she has a past that I'm not acquainted with. Perhaps someone did something they weren't suppose to do, while she was on her monthly.
I immediately cringed at the thought of that. But there was quite a chance of someone doing that to her. Which I scrunched my nose up at the thought that kept flooding back into my mind.

"You can lay right beside me and if you get uncomfortable you can tell me to stop." My voice reassuring her everything was alright. I saw the hesitation flash through her eyes as she never took her eyes off me. She crawled between my legs, slowly and gently bringing herself to lay against my chest. I watched intently as she situated herself between my legs. Making sure not to elbow me in the wrong places.

I noticed she was cautious with her movements to get comfortable, when she laid her body against mine, I could tell she didn't apply her full weight against me. Which either way wasn't a healthy amount for a young female her age to weigh.

She was way to skinny that I could feel practically every bone in her body.

But that's a problem to solve another time. Because right now, gaining her trust is more important. Once she laid her head on my chest, my arm came down and snaked around her waist to keep her close and secure.
