We've been home for a while now, I've just finished washing and drying the dishes. As Louis is still sitting at the table mindlessly looking at his bowl of soup. He hasn't touched it, he won't eat and he's very irritable. I didn't like seeing him like that, without his son who was suppose to be having dinner with us. But Briana took Freddie and Louis can't see him until the matters are resolved. Which could take months, up until next year if Louis can get a case against her so they have partial custody of Freddie.
Louis who now had the spoon up to his lips carefully swallowed the soup, that was most likely not hot anymore after sitting there for over an hour. His lips quivered a bit almost like he was going to cry and that when he covered his face with his hands. My heart softened, but I felt it shatter all the more. The man who was the strongest person in my life, was completely broken.
Sure, it's easy to point the finger and blame but every story has two sides of it. Although, Briana knew Freddie was in the proper care and Louis treated him greatly, like how a father...should treat their children. Briana trying to fix her own heartache only caused Louis to hurt even more.
I gazed down at my feet as the summer evening sun shined in through the windows of the kitchen, I felt useless and didn't know how to comfort Louis. I didn't know if he wanted to be hugged or left alone. My knowledge of how he took pain was nonexistent because I never asked or witnessed him emotionally hurt.
My fingers picked at the soft white dish towel, as I sorted through my thoughts on how I should help Louis. Finally finding some courage I slowly walked up to Louis, who was sat in the black mental chair, staring off into space. His eyes hollow, the vein in his hands were more visible as he clenched his jaw. Realizing his sadness quickly turned into anger, I hesitated to continue forward, knowing he needed me.
I counted to four and breathed in steadily, putting whatever happened in the past behind me, finding my strength to walk over to the man who looked almost lifeless. "Louis" My voice soft and quiet, not wanting to irritate him anymore than he was.
"Yes, Baby." Louis' voice shaky, but he gave me all his attention as he looked up at me worriedly, as he shifted his position in the chair. So that some way I stood in between his legs. His hands moved and held onto my hips, his hands gripping the denim material of my shorts. "You need something?" He asked softly his thumb rubbing circles on my hips, which I tried to ignore. I opened my mouth to speak, but closed it not knowing what I should say or do.
"Can I do anything for you?" I finally asked, finding words to express.
"No." He whispered softly his eyes gazing up at me, which made me feel subconscious about myself and I shied away. My arms encircling my waist, something I do when I'm nervous or uncertain.
"Can I...hug you?" I asked a bit shy of the question, which caused my cheeks to tint a pink. Louis who didn't expect the question looked a bit shocked, knowing I hated when people touch me or even show the slightest affection to me. The silence became a burden to me, as I waited patiently for him to answer.
"I'd really like a hug." He replied cautiously, his face brightening a little. So, when he stood up from the chair I was quick to wrap my arms around his waist, standing on my tip toes so I could place my ear over his heart. He was quick to respond surrounding my back with his tattooed arms and nuzzled down a bit in my shoulder.
He breathed in a heavy sigh as we both relaxed into the hug. His heart hammered a bit in his chest as did mine, because we were so close to one another. Louis' lips grazed over my neck causing me to shudder from the unexpected gentle touch. Our bodies intertwined with one another, as we swayed back in forth. My hands gripping at his black T-shirt, while his hands rubbed up and down my back. With the soft embrace came his lips moving up my neck as he pulled back from the hug, to where he peppered my face with soft and...loving kisses.
