"Darling?" Louis spoke in my ear, his voice low and raspy. I must be dreaming, so I lay over and ignored the voice speaking in the dimly lighted room. However, the voice that was attempting to rouse me from my calm sleep was persistent and loving. "Baby." Louis tried to wake me up by gently kissing my shoulder. The voice persisted, so I stayed put and buried my face back into the plush pillow. I gave in to my stubbornness and fell asleep through the whole thing, blocking out the voice that woke me. Till he resumed his speech. "Athens?" While I felt him tuck a strand of hair behind my ear, Louis spoke in a stern but tender manner.

At last, giving in to the nagging voice, drowsily exhaling. I shifted slightly and turned to face him, squinting my eyes due to the faint light that seemed to be brighter because I was just waking up. I did eventually look him in the eye, but only after I crashed into his chest. I found myself staring up into his sleepy eyes, and he laughed breathlessly.

His lips quickly meeting the skin of my forehead, which had my eyes fluttering shut. Relaxing into the unexpected gesture, the man applied. Even though he kissed my forehead quite often, it still came off as a surprise to me.

"I apologize, my dear. Did not wish to rouse you." His thumb gently caressed my cheek as he began in silence. "But you've leaked a bit on the bed." To avoid embarrassing me, he muttered. But it did, and I slipped into the bend of his neck to hide. My cheeks turned a rich shade of pink as I experienced their warmth.

The feel of Louis's stubble against my heated flesh was so fuzzy and unpleasant that I shivered. But with the beard that was growing down his chin and covering his mouth and jaw, I thought he looked awfully handsome. I doubt I will ever admit that. Because that was completely out of my comfort zone and another awkward thing I would say. Louis's fingers slithered around my waist and clamped down on my leg. This had my pulse skip a beat at the sudden contact, making me quiver. Which I knew Louis felt but ignored it intentionally. Though the unexpected touch made me squeak. He gave me a small laugh, then reached up to give me a quick rub on my back. Which tickled and made me squirm.

I snapped out of the moment as I blinked a few times incoherently before realizing and taking in what he had just stated. However, my eyes grew wide with terror as everything finally clicked. Fearing that he could be upset with me caused my heart to beat. In addition, my period ended a few days ago, which made it pound nervously. I felt myself about to burst into hot tears, and my lungs constricted inside of me.

I jerked my head away from its nuzzle against his neck and looked up into his mesmerizingly warm eyes. That I came across were so lovely and consoling that they made my heart skip a beat again and make me grin internally.

"I'm sorry, I-I didn't mean to.." I apologized, my voice faltering. Louis, though, gave a soft smile and gave a slight headshake. "Honey, it's alright." Without considering it a major issue, he said in a nice manner. He moved to sit straight up and said, "Why don't you get cleaned up and take a shower? I'll take care of the bed."

Stretching his drowsy muscles, he rose up and swung his feet over the side. He let out a few grunts and massaged the back of his neck to release some tension.

He sighed, turned around, and grinned lazily at me. In order to help me get out of the warm, incredibly soft bed, he extended his hand. I did what he asked and let him gently yank me from the cozy bed. Louis was fast to grab my waist to support me. It was little after midnight, so I was still feeling sleepy as I stumbled a little.

Reminding me of a baby dear discovering their legs for the first time.

Louis waited patiently with his palm firmly resting on my hip while I took a moment to release my tense muscles from sleep. I let out a small yawn and found myself curled up in Louis' arms, leaning my head against his chest while he also let out a yawn.
