Chapter 4: Berserk

"You're no fun," said Archer.

I was dodging blows from the melodic bow. I was barely able to dodge the cuts in the air. I had an idea as to who the servant was. Each attack was followed by the sound of a harp. This gave me an idea as to who the servant was. The problem I was facing right now was locating the servant. They kept hopping from between the tree lines. This made me annoyed. I attempted to predict the next location and shot a blast of flame at them.

"Take that! Burn to ashes!"

The servant had seemed to have taken the blow. I saw that the servant glowed in a light of red. She then disappeared.

Suddenly, I felt a surge in my body. It felt darker. The mana from master seemed different.

'Master!' I thought I left and headed to Master's location.

As I arrived at the scene I saw a figure who stood in place of my Master. He had the mana of a servant radiating off of him.

My brother took on was replaced. This man had an immense amount of mana exuding off of them. It was similar to a servant's. Yet I could still feel my brother's mana.

He slashed at me. I was barely able to dodge. I saw the carnage that the blow left, tearing through multiple trees and setting them ablaze. I would need some assistance to take this opponent.

"I summon you, my servant." I used a command spell to bring Archer to me.

Archer was by my side in an instant. She evaluated the situation. She was confused as well.

'Who is that? I thought there was only one servant?'

'My brother seems to have gone through a transformation of sorts.'

'I've never heard of this happening,' said Archer.

He began to laugh. "This body is that of the cursed. It will suffice."

"Who are you?" I said.

"You may call me, pseudo-servant Berserker, Master of Archer," he said while pointing the sword at me.

I nodded to Archer. She gained some distance and began to string her bow, while I circled and threw daggers at the servant. Berserker was trapped by the sheer amount of weapons being launched at him.

However, when the chance arose. Berserker used his sword and planted it into the ground. This caused an explosion of fire, disrupting all attacks and creating heavy damage to the forest.

I threw a dagger quickly into the air and switched with it. I barely dodged the explosion. A part of my cloak was burnt. I was now free-falling to the ground. I prepared mana into my legs to absorb the shock.

Suddenly, my brother's servant caught me and gently set me down. I was surprised by this.

"You know my master don't you?" my brother's servant asked. This was a weird question to me.

"We'll talk later, right now we need to expel this servant from his body," she said.

I heard a loud sound, coming from outside the city. I could see a bright light in the forest. This disturbed me but didn't surprise me. There was a knock at my door.

"Come in." the officer who entered bowed.

"Do you have the assessment on the forest?"

"Yes, Commander Funai. There have been fires and explosions in the forest. We think it could be enemy forces that infiltrated."
