There were loud bursts in the air. Enough to scare the birds in the area away. The public was in a panic. German soldiers held the festival's participants all hostage. The hostages were all grouped. I was told what to do in these types of scenarios in combat training. Well, more specialized to me of course.

I was near the hostages, hiding in the bushes with Assassin. She was dressed in a dark black cloak. I could tell she was hiding another set. of armor underneath. "Assassin, can you take them all out?"

"Fu fu fu, of course, what do you take me for an amateur?" she boasted,

"Ok, I'll make up a set of portals for you, I'll give you the signal"

" Don't want to reveal me yet, huh~?"

"Don't get your hopes up." I pointed to Yves.

"So master is tangled up in this,"

I placed a portal next to Assassin. "Hope you don't die," said Assassin while waving. I walked out of the treeline. The soldiers immediately aimed right at me. I assume at my vitals. I wasn't going to get out of this situation easily.

"Hey mind not trying to kill me?"

"No, We aim with intent to kill. Get in the circle or die."

"Why don't you stop all the shooting?" I did finger-guns. I placed a portal with each point of my finger.

"Die it is." they aimed for my head.

I placed a portal behind me and fell through it. Swiftly dodging death from a thousand bullets, I went behind one of the soldiers and pulled out a pistol. Bang. I shot the soldier in the head. I had blood on my hands, it wasn't the first, and it won't be the last. The soldiers reacted hastily.

"He's using magic, shoot the portals." yelled the leader of the soldiers.

I fell through the portal again to reappear next to Assassin. I made sure to close the portals. It was easy to do so.

"The signal, Assassin,"

Assassins had their bow ready. It was made out of plant life. Assassin. Made clones of themselves. I created portals on trees and other viewpoints. Assassin aimed her bow. The arrows whistled through the air. They went through each soldier's head. I clapped from the pure stunt that the servant pulled off, with my help. She bowed in a showing of pride.

"It's time we help the people."

"I'm here to help master only. You deal with the rest." she carried the wasted Yves on her shoulder and scurried to the trees again. I was left to deal with the crowd.

'Welp, I guess it's crowd control time,' an old man walked up to me.

"Thank you so much, how can we repay you for saving us?" he was formal and grateful. As were the whole hostages. It was rude to ask anything of them.

"Just don't say anything about this, okay? Act like this was a normal festival for the rest of your lives."

"There must be something we can give you we are truly in your debt." said a woman.

"well..."

I faced the master that could be the most dangerous one next to Y/N. She was a Homunculus. An Einzbern at that. I don't know what magic she possesses, but I know it would be deadly to go against such an opponent without a servant. The Einzbern wore a Reich Commander uniform with a shoulder cape. The Einzbern had a pistol and a sword.
