"How could a huge organization like this exist without anyone knowing?" I paced around the small dojo room. My bare feet thudded softly on the wooden flooring. The sound brought me back to the times my father would teach me taijutsu, back when he was still alive...

Emi tapped her fingers on the floor nervously. "That's the thing, I don't think that they were completely unknown. Obviously, the Ninjas knew something of them, or else they wouldn't have all those files. Also, the Government. They were the ones who commissioned you to take those files... From what I have seen and hacked so far... I believe that those files that the Ninjas have are actually from the Government's database."  I bit my lip as I took in the stream of information.

"But, the real question is, are the Ninjas and Government wanting to oppose Hi no Chi or join them?" I asked myself. Kage cleared his throat.

"From my time within the Ninjas, it seems that they are trying to analyze the group to take them down. For them, Hi no Chi is an opposing group that will ruin their carefully made systems. That is yet to be determined with the Government." I frowned, planting my hands on my waist.

"I'm not saying the Government is in the wrong," Emi speculated, "But here, we are taught that we can't trust nor distrust the Government. It really depends on who is the head. In my personal opinion, Head Lady Nakumara is a really good person, whether or not it's professional." Kage nodded his head slowly, leaning forward on his hands. His sleeves were rolled up to his elbows, and I could see his vein trailing up his forearm. His dual katanas were laid down next to him, the red-wrapped handles standing out from his whole attitude and clothing.

I snapped out of it. Why was I paying attention to his clothing rather than the case in front of us? I muttered something about good-looking boys and sat down, laying my katana next to me. "Anyone have ideas on this?" I asked, trying to break the strange silence.

"We need to figure out who exactly these people are and who's running it." Kage steepled his fingers, staring straight at me.

Emi raised her hand, "I got that. I'll hack into the Government files and Ninja files. I'll even see if there is any chatter about this group online." She got up and left the dojo.

"I'll send a retrieval squad out to the next Ninja file pick-up." I rocked back onto my feet.

"Hold it!" Kage was on his feet, putting a finger up in the air. "I need you to come with me. We're doing an alley and underground sweep." I almost choked. The alleys and underground?! Those were the places I tried to avoid, given my past experiences.

"I don't think that's a good idea-" I began.

"Nope. Not the correct answer. It was rhetorical. Are you, or are you, not one of the best Samurai this place has to offer?" he shot back. I opened my mouth to protest, but he shook his head. "Nope. Uh-uh. You're coming and there is no back talk." he scolded me.

"You sound my old sensei," I grumbled, picking up my katana and slipping it into my holster. Kage smirked, sliding his katanas behind his back and fastening his mask on. I did the same, running out of the Samurai Headquarters.

We ran across roofs and powerlines. I waited for Kage to catch up before I spoke. "Ito Kage, if I get killed or hurt, I hold you responsible. I've had some bad experiences and enemies in those places." I counted off my fingers, "I'm a Samurai, first, I 'accidentally' ruined someone's shady shop, I killed a couple of people, sent the others to jail, and some more to exile.  Oh! and, I'm the granddaughter of Master Akechi, so all his enemies down here are also mine, or they view me as theirs." I smiled at him, flipping off the power line onto the roof below.

"Well then, I guess... you have to live with it." he smiled back as I stuck my tongue out at him.

"You suck."
