"What the hell is going on?" Ezra swung the door to Silco's office open. She was right, her headache would subside after a night of rest, but that didn't change how annoying the yelling was. "Ezra," Silco stood up, "Good morning." Ezra walked into Silco's office, "No, I don't want your good morning bullshit. Why the fuck are we yelling?" Ezra looked from Silco to Sevika, "Sevika, you look like shit. What happened?" Sevika chuckled, "Your daughter." Ezra looked confused, "Jinx is still asleep, what are you talking about?" Ezra looked at Silco who had a guilty look on his face. "What?" Ezra moved closer to Silco. He stayed silent. "What is she talking about?" Ezra was breathing heavily. "Violet. She's back." Silco's voice was flat and dull. "What?" Ezra backed away from Silco as tears filled her eyes. "Where is she? Where was she?" Ezra sounded frantic. "She was in Stillwater." Silco sat back down at his desk. "Marcus didn't tell me." Silco sounded guilty now. "No, why would he? He's a piece of shit asshole that has it out for me. Why would he tell you?" Ezra stormed for the door. "Where are you going?" Silco stood up, sending his chair colliding with the wall. "To find my daughter." Ezra turned around sharply, "I'll search the entirety of the Lanes if I have to."
Before Silco could say anything, Ezra marched back to her room. As soon as she shut her door behind her, she slid down the wall to the floor. "She's alive." Ezra felt tears streaming down her face, she couldn't contain her hope, joy and anticipation. Ezra smiled, then slowly stood back up. As Ezra got changed, she thought about taking Jinx with her, but then she remembered what Jinx had told her about the last time they saw each other, so she figured it was best to leave Jinx at home for now. Ezra wore black pants with a black top. She didn't want to stand out too much. She grabbed a hooded coat so she could blend in even more. Ezra had a vague idea of where Ezra could've gone, but she knew they would be secret hideouts from when the kids were younger.
Ezra walked out of her room, she tried to sneak past Silco's office, but she had no choice but to walk past with his door wide open. "Ezra?" he stopped her again as he did the night before. "Yes." Ezra stood in the doorway. "Be careful. I know she's like a daughter, but people change. I know I can't stop you," Silco paused, "just promise me you'll be safe." Ezra nodded, "I promise." Silco sat back down. "Oh and don't tell Jinx yet, I want to make sure Jinx and Vi will be okay before she gets her hopes up or gets hurt." Ezra explained with a small amount of strain in her voice. Silco nodded.
Ezra snuck out the back door of the Last Drop, she was still trying to avoid the attention or the possibility of being followed. The first place Ezra thought to check was the old gaming room, that's where the kids first hid after the incident in Piltover. Ezra walked in through the broken window. The place still had the same feel, but now it was covered in dust and debris. The place had lost its glow and its memories. As Ezra walked around no memories came flooding back to her. She had only been there once and that was with Jinx, who was Powder at the time. This wouldn't be the best hiding spot, but Ezra looked anyway. She wasn't shocked when she didn't find Vi.
Ezra checked a few other places, most of them had now become hideouts for people doing drugs or using shimmer. Ezra had two more places to check. She decided to look at the old building under the bridge. Vi and Jinx had gone there a few times before Ezra showed up, but Vi told her about it. When Ezra reached the end of the Undercity, she looked over the edge, she would have to climb down and she wasn't a good climber. Ezra had the bodily strength to do so, but she wasn't well coordinated in situations like these. But for a chance to see Vi, it was worth face-planting into solid ground.
The climb down wasn't pretty to watch, but Ezra didn't fall so she counted it as a win. As Ezra walked through the fog, she came closer to the building. Ezra hadn't realized there were people down here, so when someone jumped out it started her. "Help."a short man jumped out. He was skinny and looked borderline dead. Ezra didn't know what to do for him, so she kept walking. While she walked away the man behind her whispered 'shimmer' repeatedly. She couldn't believe that this is what shimmer could do to a person.
